BongoBongo (bongobongo.ke) is a Kenyan mobile-money casino and sportsbook run by Kensen Limited under casino licence PG-0001223 and sportsbook licence BK-0001224. It takes deposits from KSh 10 and pays out from KSh 50 through M-Pesa and Airtel Money, with no fee from the casino, and the withdrawal page says payouts are usually instant. Its terms, effective from 1 January 2020, cap winnings at KSh 1.5 million per user per 24 hours, treat an account as dormant after 365 days without a deposit or sports bet, and let the casino close an account for any reason. No CasinoGuru, AskGamblers or Trustpilot record exists for the brand.
Kensen Limited, Bonmoja's brand and licence PG-0001223
The footer states that the BongoBongo brand is owned by Bonmoja Limited and that Kensen Limited is licensed by Bonmoja to operate it in Kenya. Kensen is described on the About us page as a Kenyan-incorporated technology company in e-commerce and mobile payments, with its office at 3rd Floor, Kaka House, Westlands, Nairobi, P.O. Box 2355 - 00606.
The licence text names the Betting Control and Licensing Board, sportsbook licence BK-0001224 and casino licence PG-0001223. The profile data lists the regulator under its newer name, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya. The same brand is also offered in Uganda, Zambia and Tanzania, but the Kenyan terms and licence are the ones that apply on bongobongo.ke. The pages give 0 launch years.
Governing law is Kenyan law with the Kenyan courts as exclusive forum, while the casino may sue a customer in the customer's own country of domicile (section I of the terms). The KSh 1.5 million winnings cap works out at 150x the KSh 10,000 point where the 15-minute payout allowance begins.
Terms written for sports betting, with one line on casino
The terms and the rules page are written around sports bets: stakes, odds, cash-out, accumulators of up to 45 selections and football settlement. Section C 1.2 says deposits are held for placing sporting stakes, and the casino may suspend an account it believes was funded with no intention to bet. The terms do not set casino-specific wagering, game contribution, maximum bet or payout rules, so a player looking for how a slot or Aviator round is settled will not find it there.
The home page offers Sports, Aviator, Casino, Instant, Live and Virtuals, names Playson among its game suppliers and shows stakes from KES 1 on hot games. The pages give 0 game or provider counts, and no CasinoGuru record supplies one.
KSh 10 in, KSh 50 out, and 5x between them
The rules set the minimum deposit at KSh 10 (section 9.4) and the minimum withdrawal at KSh 50 (section 10.5), so the exit minimum is 5x the entry minimum, and the KSh 10,000 point where the casino's 15-minute allowance begins is 200x the exit minimum. Deposits are accepted via M-Pesa and Airtel Money (section 9.3). The deposit page describes M-Pesa only: business number 499995, the player's phone number as account number, either through the SIM toolkit or on the website.
BongoBongo says it charges no fee on deposits or withdrawals, and that the mobile operator might. Withdrawals are sent only to the primary phone number given at registration (section 10.4) and only to an account in the registered holder's name (terms C 2.1). If the name on the M-Pesa or card account differs from the registration name, the account is suspended (terms 1.2).
One cost clause sits in the withdrawal terms: if a deposit has not been played through in full before a withdrawal is requested, the casino may charge for the reasonable costs of the deposit and the withdrawal and reduce the payout accordingly (section 2.3). The terms state 0 rollover multiples and 0 amounts, so the size of that charge is unknown. The same KSh 50 minimum withdrawal is repeated in terms 2.4, and the contact details in rules 1.7 give a Nairobi phone line (0111022200) beside the customer service number 254111022204.
Instant, 15 minutes, or 4 to 12 hours
The withdrawal page says payouts are usually instant and that requests above KSh 10,000 can take up to 15 minutes. A review source quoted in the profile data, khusoko.com, gives 4 to 12 hours for M-Pesa withdrawals. The two figures conflict, and the casino's own claim is the shorter one.
The terms say there is no set maximum withdrawal per day, but requests above KSh 4 million may need additional arrangements because that is the daily limit via mobile money (section 2.2). That ceiling is about 2.7x the KSh 1.5 million winnings cap described next, so the winnings cap binds first, not the payment limit. Measured against the KSh 10 minimum deposit, the daily mobile-money ceiling is 400,000x and the winnings cap 150,000x, and a KSh 10,000 payout, where the 15-minute allowance starts, is 0.67% of that cap.
The KSh 1.5 million cap per user per 24 hours
Appendix Two and rules section 7.2 put maximum winnings at KSh 1,500,000 per user per 24-hour period, including the stake, and the rules add that everything above that is rounded down for bets on different slips. The text sits under the betting coverage rules and does not say whether it applies to casino rounds, so a casino winner cannot tell from the pages read whether a large Aviator or slot win would be cut.
Winnings may also be subject to local withholding tax, applied to the net win only, meaning the winning amount minus the original stake. An obvious-error bet is capped separately at KSh 5 million (terms 6.8), which is about 3.3x the ordinary cap. The ordinary cap is 30,000x the KSh 50 minimum withdrawal, so it only matters to a player who wins big. The KSh 5 million obvious-error cap is 100,000x that minimum, and the KSh 4 million daily mobile-money ceiling is 80,000x it.
Dormant after 365 days, and casino play does not count
Clause B 5.1 counts an account as inactive when neither a successful deposit nor a sports bet takes place. After 365 days of that it is dormant, and a zero-balance dormant account is closed with no fee. For an account that still holds money, the casino promises only to take reasonable steps to notify the player, and no dormancy fee is stated. Casino or Aviator play is not listed as activity, so a player who only plays casino games and never deposits during 365 days could hold a dormant account.
Reactivation needs a deposit or a sports bet (clause 5.2). That detail matters for anyone who treats BongoBongo as a casino first.
Closure for any reason, no stated KYC limits and an arbiter that is not a court
Clause 4.2 lets the casino close or suspend an account at any time and for any reason. If it does so for reasons (a) to (e), among them fraud, unfair use or a request from the police, a regulator or a court, the casino may withhold winnings and bonus payments and the player is liable for the casino's claims and costs (clause 4.3). Funds credited by mistake are recovered through account adjustment, and promotion abuse voids winnings and cancels cash-ins.
Verification is mentioned in general terms only. The casino may run identification and credit checks and request photo ID where age is in doubt (terms 1.1 and 1.4; rules 1.1), and the About us page says KYC and AML protocols apply. The pages list 0 documents, 0 deadlines and 0 cumulative payment thresholds.
For disputes the casino refers unresolved cases to an arbiter such as the Kenya National Lottery Board, whose decision is final, and the terms rule out litigation or objections to a bookmaker's licence over a bet. The casino's own transaction log is declared the ultimate authority.
No independent track record, and one helpline number
There is no CasinoGuru Safety Index for BongoBongo: the CasinoGuru brand called Bongo Casino is a different Curacao operation. AskGamblers has no review and Trustpilot has no profile, so there are 0 reviews, 0 star ratings and 0 complaint counts to quote. A player has the casino's own pages and the licence numbers as the whole evidence base.
Support is by Facebook, Telegram, email (help@bongobongo.ke) and telephone, with WhatsApp mentioned for deposit problems; hours are not stated. The Responsible Gaming page repeats the About us text and describes no deposit, loss or time limits and no self-exclusion tool. The footer gives Responsible Gambling Kenya on 1199 and warns that betting is addictive.
Who BongoBongo suits and who should avoid it
It suits a Kenyan player who wants to start with KSh 10, uses M-Pesa and accepts that the terms read as a sportsbook rulebook. It is a poor fit for anyone outside Kenya, for a casino-only player who needs the dormancy rule to count game play, for a big winner who needs to know whether the KSh 1.5 million cap in the terms applies to casino rounds, and for anyone who wants an independent complaint record before depositing.
