Inside Chanz

Chanz 1Chanz 2Chanz 3

Chanz is run by Dreambox Games OÜ of Tallinn under Estonian licences, and its own terms of use (version 3.3, adopted 25.02.2025) are specific: a €2,000 identity trigger, a €5 monthly fee after 12 inactive months, a default 60x bonus wagering rule, a €250 cap for players who never deposited, and €1,000 as the casino's total liability. The outside record is short. CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.4 with 3 complaints, all resolved, and AskGamblers has 2 complaints, both resolved. Against that, Trustpilot shows 2.1 stars from 39 reviews on one profile, and the sources disagree on whether Denmark is a licensed market. This review sets the terms against those records.

Dreambox Games OÜ and four Estonian licence numbers

Clause 1 of the terms names Dreambox Games OÜ, Estonian registration 12712036, as owner of chanz.com and chanz.ee, with an address at Lõõtsa 8 in Tallinn. It cites the Estonian Tax and Customs Board: activity licence HKT000023 and operating permit HKL000309 for games of chance, and activity licence HTK000030 with permit HKL000218 for betting. The homepage footer prints a slightly different set, HKT000023, HKT000030, HKL000484 and HKL000218, so the permit for games of chance appears as HKL000309 in the terms and HKL000484 in the footer. Governing law is Estonian and disputes go to the Harju County Court in Tallinn (clause 12).

CasinoGuru lists three licences: Estonia HKL000309, Denmark DGA 21-79981 and Sweden. AskGamblers also names Estonia, Sweden and Denmark but gives no numbers. The terms, however, put Denmark on the list of 48 countries where the service is not available, next to the UK, the United States, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Turkey. A reader in Denmark should therefore treat the Danish licence claim as unconfirmed by the casino's own page. CasinoGuru dates the brand to 2014 and AskGamblers to 2015. Players in Estonia must be 21 for games of chance, while 18 applies elsewhere and for betting (clause 2).

Sign-up with Smart-ID, Mobile-ID or BankID

The homepage FAQ says players in Estonia register with Smart-ID or Mobile-ID and players in Sweden with BankID, and that the account is verified automatically when one of these is used. The site is offered in Estonian, English and Russian according to the footer, while AskGamblers lists nine website languages including Swedish, Danish and Finnish.

Finland and Sweden are not on the 48-country exclusion list, and CasinoGuru's complaint file contains cases from both. The homepage describes support as English and Nordic speaking. AskGamblers lists support in English, Estonian, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish and says chat runs 24/7 in its text, but its structured data flags limited hours, and CasinoGuru says chat is not available around the clock. CasinoGuru does list phone support. The Chanzpool social pool betting product voids a pool if no result arrives within 36 hours (clause 6b).

Payouts: no limits, but a €2,000 trigger and the same-source rule

AskGamblers lists no withdrawal limit per transaction, day or month, no deposit or withdrawal fees and weekend cashouts. Stated times are 24 hours for e-wallets and bank transfers, 3 to 5 days for cards and a pending period of 1 to 2 hours; the homepage advertises payouts in 7 seconds. The terms add two conditions that matter more than the speed. First, withdrawals must go to a personal bank, card or e-wallet account in the player's name, using the same method as the deposit (clause 4). Second, before a withdrawal the player must have wagered at least the total deposited since the previous withdrawal, and for the first payout the sum of all deposits.

In practice a player who deposits €200 and wins €1,000 must still have bet €200 before asking for the money. Method choice is narrow: 7 ways in, 2 ways out. The casino's own data lists seven deposit routes, Visa, iDEAL, Euteller, Trustly, BankLink, Skrill and SafetyPay, but only two withdrawal routes, bank wire and SafetyPay. AskGamblers counts 7 payment methods and CasinoGuru 5, and AskGamblers itself lists limited withdrawal options as a weakness. Five currencies are offered: EUR, CAD, NOK, SEK and DKK. The terms also allow an administrative charge on withdrawals where the site says so, but no amount in euros is stated in the terms.

What happens at €2,000 and what documents are requested

Clause 4 states that Chanz will not accept a deposit or make a payment above €2,000, as a single payment or as related transactions, until identity, age, place of residence and the source of income are verified. The documents named are a passport or ID card, proof of address such as a utility bill, and a bank statement proving income. A player who fails to supply them risks confiscation of winnings, the original deposit or remaining balance returned subject to reasonable charges, and closure of the account. A separate line repeats that payments of €2,000 or more trigger identity and data checks.

Players below the 2,000 line are not exempt: payouts may be delayed whenever extra documents are needed, and all transactions are screened, with funds frozen if they look suspicious. AskGamblers lists high account verification requirements among its cons, while one AskGamblers reviewer calls the verification fair but slow. A player who wins €1,500 with a €300 deposit stays under the €2,000 line but can still be asked for documents. The terms give no number of days for the review, only 'reasonable time'.

€5 a month after 12 inactive months, and the 60x default

An account with no login for more than 12 consecutive months can be charged €5 a month, deducted from the start of the following month, after a notice sent 30 days before. The fee stops when the balance reaches zero, and the casino may then close the account. That is €60 a year taken from a forgotten balance, and a player can avoid it by logging in or withdrawing inside the 30-day notice window.

Clause 5 sets the default bonus rule: unless a campaign says otherwise, the bonus must be wagered 60 times, so a €100 bonus carries €6,000 of required bets. Bonuses expire 30 days after they are claimed. A player who has never made a successful deposit can withdraw at most €250 of winnings, whatever the total won, which for a €2,000 no-deposit win means only 12.5% can be withdrawn and the other 87.5% is forfeited. Bonus abuse, which includes opening several accounts, allows forfeiture of the bonus and winnings and closure of the account, and only one bonus is allowed per user, IP address, device, household, phone number, card or e-mail.

A €1,000 liability cap and a 3-month claim window

Clause 9 caps Chanz's liability, across all claims taken together, at €1,000. A jackpot win is subject to verification by the casino and the software provider, and the terms call those decisions final (clause 6a). The casino may suspend or close an account at once, without notice, for any reason (clause 10), and may refuse winnings if the terms were breached. Any claim about a transaction must be raised within 3 months or the right to it is waived, and complaints go by e-mail to support@chanz.com with an answer promised within reasonable time and no later than 2 weeks (clause 13).

The complaints page names the AskGamblers complaint service, and the data protection route is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate. For a player with a €5,000 dispute, the practical limits are the 3-month window, the 2-week reply target and the €1,000 liability clause.

Limits that start at 48 hours, and exclusion for up to 6 months

The responsible gambling page offers limits on net loss, deposit and session time, plus a loss limit for Estonia only. A lower limit applies at once, while a higher one waits for a 48-hour cooling-off period. Exclusion on the casino itself runs from a minimum of 24 hours to a maximum of 6 months. A general exclusion from all licensed casinos in Estonia goes through the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, which activates it within 2 working days of receiving the application. Help lines named are 15410.ee, Gambling Therapy and GamCare.

AskGamblers confirms deposit, wager, loss and time limits, self-exclusion, cool-off, reality check and a self-assessment test, and says there is no withdrawal lock and no self-exclusion register participation. It also calls the loss limit system confusing with delayed activation, and its file holds a €200 complaint where a loss limit failed to activate on mobile; that case was resolved. CasinoGuru's list of Chanz complaints includes a Finnish player who opened a new account despite self-exclusion and received a €800 refund (27.03.2023).

3 CasinoGuru complaints, 2 at AskGamblers, 2.1 stars on Trustpilot

CasinoGuru records a Safety Index of 9.4, Very high, a fair terms rating, 12 user reviews, a revenue tier above €5,000,000 and no blacklist entry. Its 3 complaints are all resolved: a 25,000 kr withdrawal delayed under investigation in Sweden and paid after verification (15.12.2023), the €800 self-exclusion case (March 2023) and a €250 case where a UK player opened an account from a restricted country (December 2022). AskGamblers gives a CasinoRank of 8.3 and a player rating of 7/10 from 46 reviews. Its 2 complaints, both resolved, are the €200 loss limit case and two €130 Visa Debit deposits, €260 in total, that were not refunded within 15 days.

Trustpilot is less kind than the 9.4 index. The profile at chanzcasino.com shows 2.1 stars from 39 reviews, while the chanz.com profile has 0 reviews, so the two figures cannot be merged. Five complaints in total across the two sites is a small base. The Trustpilot review texts are not quoted here, so the themes behind the 2.1 are not stated.

Who Chanz suits and who should skip it

Chanz suits a player in Estonia, Sweden or Finland who wants a regulated operator with local sign-up through Smart-ID, Mobile-ID or BankID, nearly 2,000 games from about 8 to 14 providers, a 48-hour cooling-off on limit increases and a 6-month self-exclusion option. The first-deposit package is a 100% match up to €100 plus 50 spins at 35x within 30 days, a €2 maximum bet and a €500 cashout cap; the bonus page has the full terms for all four deposit steps and every spin on offer.

It is a poor fit for anyone in the 48 excluded countries, for a Danish player who relies on the Danish licence claim, for a player who needs a withdrawal method other than bank wire or SafetyPay, and for a player who might deposit more than €2,000 and does not want to supply income documents. Anyone who wants to leave a balance untouched for over a year should note the €5 monthly fee.
