iDEAL is listed as a deposit method at 25 of the 340 casinos we review (7.4%): 5 of our 116 partner casinos and 20 of the 224 review-only casinos. The Dutch payment association Betaalvereniging says 70% of Dutch e-commerce transactions run through iDEAL, which handled more than 1.5 billion payments in 2025. It has appeared as iDEAL | Wero since the end of January 2026, and merchants have until the end of 2027 to move to Wero. Only 2 of the 25 casinos (8%) also list it for payouts. Below are the numbers, and the gaps ideal.nl leaves open.
70% of Dutch web shop payments, but only 25 of 340 casinos
Betaalvereniging's page on the scheme says iDEAL has existed since 2005 and gives its 2025 volume as more than 1.5 billion transactions, more than 4 million payments per day and 6.3 million on Black Friday, about 1.6 times an ordinary day. It states that 70% of all Dutch e-commerce transactions are made via iDEAL.
Casinos are a small corner of that. Of the 116 partner casinos, 5 list iDEAL as a deposit method (4.3%): Bob Casino, Chanz, Gunsbet, Evospin and Mason Slots. Of 224 review-only casinos, 20 do (8.9%).
iDEAL | Wero: three phases and the end-2027 deadline
In our data, 2 of the 25 casinos that accept iDEAL also pay withdrawals to it. The fastest crypto and e-wallet payouts come from GunsBet (0-1 hours).
Ideal.nl announced the move to Wero, the European wallet, on 28 October 2025, which leaves about 790 days to the end-2027 deadline. Phase 1 is the combined iDEAL | Wero logo from the end of January 2026, and BetNation's site already shows only iDEAL | Wero. Phase 2 moves payments to the Wero platform after approval from De Nederlandsche Bank, with no date given. In phase 3 Wero becomes the only visible name, adds purchase protection and allows payments across Europe.
By the end of 2027 at the latest, all iDEAL merchants will have transitioned, with later milestones subject to the regulator. Betaalvereniging says Dutch citizens get the new possibilities from the end of 2026. Ideal.nl says Wero has 16 major European banks behind it and over 45 million users, live in Belgium, Germany and France. For a player nothing changes yet: the payment still comes from your own bank account and you approve it in your banking app. Reports of earlier bank deadlines are unverified and not used.
Eleven KSA licence numbers among the 25 iDEAL casinos
A listed iDEAL option says nothing about the licence. Eleven of the 25 (44%) are Dutch KSA-licensed, all review-only, with these licence numbers: Holland Casino 3627, TOTO 3621, Kansino 3609, Bingoal 3646, Fair Play 3657, BetNation 1949, StarCasino 2389, Casino777 1832, Jacks 1959, ONE Casino 2161 and TonyBet 1729. The register at kansspelautoriteit.nl is public.
According to our Netherlands guide, only licensed operators have been allowed since the Remote Gambling Act took effect on 1 October 2021. GamblingNews reported that the first 8 follow-up licences, announced on 17-18 September 2026 and valid until September 2031, include TOTO Online, Holland Casino Online and Play North (Kansino).
Three casinos list iDEAL and block the Netherlands
Across the 6 casinos above where we have bonus terms, the average welcome bonus wagering is 39x.
Of the 25, 14 (56%) are not Dutch licensed. For Gunsbet, Mason Slots and Gaming Club (12% of the 25) the restricted-country data includes the Netherlands, so iDEAL shows in the cashier although Dutch players are blocked. A casino with iDEAL is therefore not a licence signal. Players search this way: Google Keyword Planner (15 October 2026) puts six word orders of online casino ideal at 5,000 searches a month in the Netherlands, and buitenlandse casino ideal at 500.
€5 and €10 minimums, and the Jacks welcome deposit
Ideal.nl states no per-payment minimum or maximum, so any limit comes from the casino. Casino777 states a €5 minimum deposit in its footer. StarCasino and TonyBet each list iDEAL from €10, per affiliate snippets we scraped (second-hand), and TonyBet's withdrawal minimum is also €10 there.
At Jacks, the first iDEAL deposit qualifies for the welcome offer of 100% up to €250. A €100 deposit gives €100 bonus and €200 in total; €250 gives the maximum, €500 in total, and more earns nothing extra. Wagering terms are not in this research. No casino we review excludes iDEAL deposits from a bonus, which is an absence of evidence, not a guarantee.
Four sites (Kansino, Fair Play, BetNation, StarCasino) list iDEAL as their only deposit method. TOTO lists 3 methods (iDEAL, Visa, Mastercard), Holland Casino 4 with Trustly, and Bingoal 4 with Maestro.
Payouts do not return through iDEAL: bank times at the Dutch sites
No official source calls iDEAL deposit-only, but the casino listings support it: 0 of the 20 review-only casinos lists it for withdrawals, and of the partners only Bob Casino and Evospin do, according to their cashier data. The payout time is the casino's bank or e-wallet time.
Dutch-licensed sites, as stated: TOTO within 1 working day, StarCasino and TonyBet within 24 hours, Jacks 0-24 hours, Casino777 1-5 days, Holland Casino 3-5 days and ONE Casino 48-96 hours, which is 2-4 days. Bingoal says a few working days, and Kansino, Fair Play and BetNation give no time. Asked for on a Monday, a payout could arrive 1 day later at TOTO and 3-5 days later at Holland Casino, if its days are calendar days.
Partners: Bob Casino lists e-wallets at 0-1 hours and bank 1-7 days, Gunsbet 0-1 hours and 1-5 days, Mason Slots 0-1 hours and 3-5 days, and Chanz 24 hours for both. Evospin lists 0-1 hours and 1-5 days with a €5,000 cap per transaction, so a €12,000 win needs 3 transactions.
What ideal.nl does not say
Ideal.nl names Currence iDEAL B.V. as copyright holder but states no consumer fee, per-payment limit, daily limit, bank count or gambling policy. Claims that it is free, has a bank daily limit, or that casinos refund payments from an account in another name have no official source here, so check your bank's terms.
