Sofort is a deposit method first and a payout method almost never: 28 of the 107 partner casinos we review (26%) list Sofort or Klarna for deposits, but only 4 of those 28 also list it for withdrawals, so 24 of them (86%) are deposit-only. Another 28 of the 224 casinos we only review (12.5%) list it too. Klarna, which bought Sofort GmbH in 2014, says its current Sofort product has no fees for the consumer, needs a player aged 18 or older living in Germany, and runs no credit check. It publishes no gambling policy, limit or bank list. Below are the numbers we do have and what they mean for a real deposit and payout.
Two products under one name: a bank login and a card payment
Casino cashiers still show Sofort, Sofortüberweisung or Klarna Instant Bank Transfer. Klarna's German page for Sofort bezahlen describes a different thing from the old bank-login transfer: a debit or credit card in your own name, not expired, with enough funds. It promises the full amount at once with no extra fees, and a footnote warns that currency exchange fees may apply without naming a percentage.
The same page asks for residence in Germany and an age of 18, and says Klarna runs no credit check. It states no purchase limit and no bank list. The €100,000 in its footnotes is deposit protection for a Klarna bank account, not a Sofort limit. Which flow a casino uses is not stated on that page, so claims such as no account needed stay unconfirmed.
27 visible partner casinos list Sofort, and 24 cannot pay you back
In our data, 10 of the 49 casinos that accept Sofort also pay withdrawals to it. The fastest crypto and e-wallet payouts come from StarGames (Instant).
In our list of 107 partner casinos, 28 name Sofort or Klarna as a deposit method. One of them, VulkanBet, is hidden because the brand closed in July 2022, which leaves 27 (25% of the list). Only Bob Casino, Rabona, Spinia and EvoSpin (14% of the 28) list Sofort for withdrawals, and that is what the casinos list, not a check at the cashier.
The deposit-only group includes 1win, GGBET, 22Bet, BC.Game, BitStarz, Mostbet, 20Bet, Ice Casino, Bizzo Casino, National Casino, HitNSpin, Casinia, 22Casino, Cookie Casino, Betamo, GunsBet, NeoSpin, LuckyDreams, JustCasino, Avalon78, Mason Slots, Buran and Fast Slots. Among the 224 review-only casinos, 24 of the 28 with Sofort have no payout route; Play Fortuna, Lex Casino, Booi Casino and Irwin Casino do, but we mark those 4 unverified because paying out through a deposit-type bank method is technically odd.
What the second route costs in time: 15 minutes to 7 days
Since Sofort rarely pays out, your payout speed is the speed of the other method. GGBET states 0-1 hours for e-wallets and 2-7 days for bank or card. 20Bet states 0-24 hours for e-wallets and 1-7 days for bank. 22Casino lists 15 minutes and 1-3 days. HitNSpin quotes 3-5 days for bank, NeoSpin 1-5 days, Casinia 3-7 days, 1win 3-5 days plus a pending stage of 0-5 days, and Ice Casino 0-96 hours for every method.
Among review-only casinos, Wildz, bwin and LeoVegas state 3-5 days for bank, Casumo 0-1 hours for e-wallets and 1-7 days for bank, and Daddy Casino 0-24 hours for bank. A GGBET player who deposits with Sofort and withdraws by bank waits up to 7 days, against 1 hour for an e-wallet.
Payout caps worked through: €500 a day versus €10,000 a day
Across the 22 casinos above where we have bonus terms, the average welcome bonus wagering is 40x.
These caps belong to the casino, because Klarna's page gives no Sofort limit. Casinia allows €500 per day and €7,000 per month, so a €3,000 win takes 6 days and the monthly cap is reached after 14 days. 20Bet allows €4,000 per day, €10,000 per week and €40,000 per month: three days at the daily cap would be €12,000, so the weekly cap binds and a €20,000 win takes 2 weeks.
NeoSpin allows €20,000 per week and €60,000 per month, which is 3 weeks of full payouts. Daddy Casino allows €1,800 per day and €9,000 per month, so a €9,000 win needs 5 days. GGBET caps one transaction at €9,000, so €25,000 is 3 transactions. Lex Casino allows €4,000 per day and €125,000 per month, which would take 32 days at the daily cap. Wildz allows €10,000 per day and €100,000 per month, 10 days of full payouts, and Betano lists €20,000 per transaction.
Germany: every Sofort deposit counts toward the LUGAS monthly limit
Our Germany page lists Sofort and Klarna among local methods and notes that licensed operators typically accept SEPA, PayPal, cards, Klarna's instant bank payment and paysafecard. Every deposit counts toward the cross-operator monthly limit that LUGAS checks, Sofort included. The amount is not in the file we used, so we do not quote it. Austria also lists Sofort.
Casumo puts Sofort next to Giropay, iDEAL and Trustly among 15 deposit methods, and Irwin Casino next to EPS, Rapid Transfer and Trustly. For 1win the sources conflict: AskGamblers lists Sofort, while CasinoGuru lists 14 crypto methods and no Sofort.
Search demand: 81 queries, 40 German, most down 90%
Google Keyword Planner (15 October 2026, covering October 2025 to September 2026, bucketed) shows 81 relevant queries for sofortüberweisung, Klarna and Sofort casino once the German adverb sofort, meaning immediately, is removed. 40 are German, 9 Dutch, 7 Swedish and 5 Danish. The top 15 each sit at 500 searches a month.
Queries with sofortüberweisung show a 90% yearly drop, while queries naming Klarna show 0%. Our reading, which rough buckets cannot prove, is that players now search by the name Klarna.
Not found: fees, limits, countries and bonus rules
Klarna publishes no page on fees for bank-transfer Sofort at casinos, per-transaction limits, restricted countries or gambling policy, and the claim that the casino pays the cost is unsourced. Klarna UK's terms say buy-now-pay-later became regulated in the UK on 15 July 2026, without mentioning Sofort.
We found no casino excluding Sofort deposits from its bonus in the bonus terms and on CasinoGuru, which is an absence of findings, not a guarantee. The Klarna Germany hotline runs 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00-17:00 on weekends.
