Inside BitStarz

BitStarz 1

BitStarz has run since 2014 under Gareton B.V. of Curaçao, licence OGL/2024/165/0185, and its terms, last updated on 25 June 2025, state the figures that govern a payout: a target of 1 hour, bank transfers in 3 to 10 banking days, a €5 monthly fee after 6 months without a login and a 66-entry list of restricted countries. The outside record is strong on paper. CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.8 with fair terms, AskGamblers scores it 10 with an 8.8 player rating from 623 reviews and Trustpilot shows 4.3 stars from 5,150 reviews. The same sources also hold 184 and 25 complaints. The terms cited here are the casino's own, last updated 25 June 2025.

Gareton B.V., registration 160656, and arbitration in Curaçao

Clause 1.2 names Gareton B.V., registration number 160656, with its office at Landhuis Zuikertuin, Willemstad, Curaçao, and says it holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/165/0185. CasinoGuru gives the same licence number and estimates yearly revenue above €100,000,000; AskGamblers names the Curacao Gaming Control Board and gives no number. Both date the brand to 2014, which the casino's home page repeats along with claims of more than 10 million players and more than 2,000 Bitcoin games.

The legal route for a dispute is narrow. Clause 17.1 sends all disputes to arbitration in Curaçao under Curaçao Civil Procedure Rules, and clause 15.1 says any claim must be filed within 6 months. Clause 14.8 lets the player escalate to a gambling authority or a dispute resolution service. The server records are the final authority on game results (14.4 and 14.5), and a complaint cannot be handed to a third party (14.7).

A 66-entry restricted list that names Brazil and Poland but not Germany

Clause 3.6 bars real-money play from 66 entries, among them the United States, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Spain, France and its overseas territories, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Estonia and Curaçao itself. Clause 3.4 voids bonus winnings issued to a restricted country. Using a VPN to get round a game provider's block can lead to confiscation of winnings (4.3).

Germany is not on that list. AskGamblers nevertheless names Germany and the UK among the restricted countries, while CasinoGuru names only Estonia as a country it does not accept. The terms are the primary text here, but a German reader should check the registration page rather than rely on either review site. Canada is excluded from NYX games (4.5).

One hour on paper, 3 to 10 banking days by bank

Clause 8.7.1 says BitStarz tries to pay out within 1 hour, and clause 8.7.8 refers to a 10-minute average, extended when a large win has to be verified with the game provider. AskGamblers records 0 to 1 hours for crypto and e-wallets, 1 to 5 days for cards and bank, and a pending period of 0 to 1 hours. The terms are slower for banks: payouts by bank transfer are in EUR and processed in principle within 3 to 10 banking days (8.7.7). Ten banking days is 14 calendar days when a weekend falls in between, against the 5 days AskGamblers shows.

Substantial wins may be paid in monthly instalments (8.7.3), and the terms do not say what counts as substantial or how large an instalment is. A player who deposited in USD can withdraw only by e-wallet (EcoPayz, Interac, Instadebit, iDebit, MiFinity, MuchBetter) (8.7.9). Withdrawals go back to the deposit method (8.7.13). Neither the casino nor its processor charges a withdrawal fee (8.7.10), while CasinoGuru notes that crypto network fees apply. No per-transaction limit is stated in the sources.

Crypto mistakes are costly. A deposit below the minimum for a coin is not credited and cannot be returned (8.6.8). If funds are sent to the wrong network address, BitStarz recovers them only above $5,000, charges 0.1 BTC for it and requires the report within 7 days (8.6.9).

Three documents, a possible phone call and a 2-week lock

Clause 7.2 lists proof of identity, proof of payment and a proof of address no older than 90 days, and reserves the right to ask for more. At withdrawal the payments team may also ask for passport or ID copies, utility bills and copies of the deposit cards, for fiat and crypto players alike (8.7.4), and a selfie with a document can be required at deposit (8.6.3). Clause 8.7.11 allows a verification phone call, and if the casino cannot reach the player by email or phone within 2 weeks of a withdrawal request, the account is locked.

Refusing the documents means no payments, and continued refusal can mean suspension and closure, with the balance payable once the procedures are done (7.4). CasinoGuru calls the KYC 'stringent with document rejection' and one of its complaint examples is a withdrawal of about €11,347 from Austria, delayed by document requests beyond the standard ones (30 April 2026, status 'waiting for player'). AskGamblers also lists lengthy verification among its cons.

€5 a month after 6 months without a login, and other clauses that keep money

Clause 13.1 marks an account inactive after 6 consecutive months without a login and allows a fee of at least €5 a month while the balance is positive. At the minimum fee, a balance of €30 would be used up by 6 monthly fees. Every deposit must be wagered once before it can be withdrawn (8.7.5 and 9.9), and moving the main deposit out before a bonus turnover is met forfeits the bonus and its winnings (8.2).

The anti-fraud list in clause 9.2 includes low-risk play, defined as covering only red or black, or covering 70% or more of the table, meaning more than 25 of 36 numbers. It also includes becoming bankrupt in the country of residence. For those, BitStarz may terminate the account and cancel payouts without telling the player why. Clause 9.10 treats delaying a game round or a free spin feature until wagering is finished as advantage play, with confiscation of winnings. A second account in the same household, on the same IP or PC, lets BitStarz forfeit and reclaim everything gained (6.2.2). Winnings from a third party's payment method are confiscated and the deposit returned to its owner (2.7.4). A closure without reason is allowed, but the balance is returned minus withdrawal charges (6.3.2).

Four deposit steps and 50 registration spins

AskGamblers and the profile data list a first deposit of 125% up to €500 or 1 BTC plus 180 free spins, then 50% up to €100, 50% up to €200 and 100% up to €100, a €20 minimum and 40x on the bonus, plus 50 spins on registration. The bonus page works through the steps.

79 providers, 2,000 games on the home page and four languages that do not match

CasinoGuru counts 79 providers and AskGamblers 60 or more; the lists include Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Play'n GO, Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Playtech and Novomatic. CasinoGuru marks slots, jackpot slots, live roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker, crash games, keno and eSports betting as available. The casino's own home page claims more than 2,000 games and more than 50 live blackjack tables, which are the casino's own claims.

Live chat runs 24 hours a day, and CasinoGuru adds support via Facebook and Twitter. Support language is English only according to CasinoGuru. For the website, CasinoGuru lists Russian, English, Chinese and Japanese, while AskGamblers lists English, Italian, German, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish, so the two disagree. AskGamblers marks deposit, wager, loss and time limits, self-exclusion and cool-off as present and reality check and self-assessment as missing; CasinoGuru's file only confirms deposit and wager limits.

184 complaints on CasinoGuru, 25 on AskGamblers

CasinoGuru's record for BitStarz shows 184 complaints: 137 resolved, 41 rejected (22.3% of all 184), 4 unresolved and 2 open. Resolved cases are 74.5% of the total, and rejected ones 41 of the 178 decided, or 23%. It rates the terms fair, finds no blacklist entry and gives a Safety Index of 9.8, Very high, with 153 reviews from users rated Great. Three recent cases: the Austrian €11,347 delay above, a Mexican withdrawal request still unprocessed after two weeks (18 April 2026, waiting for the casino) and a German player whose winnings of €1,600 were cut twice after free spin terms applied (12 April 2026, judged unjustified).

AskGamblers shows 25 complaints, 18 resolved and 7 rejected, which is 28% rejected. One resolved case involved a $20 deposit and a $100 win, after which the account was closed and the refund came more than 14 days later despite over 40 support emails. Another concerned a withdrawal halted after a player took a permanent break, left pending for two weeks. Its score is 10 and the player rating is 8.8 from 623 reviews (634 in the October record); the editorial credits two AskGamblers Awards.

Trustpilot shows 4.3 stars from 5,150 reviews in the May record and 4.3 from 5,446 reviews in the 15 October record. A 1-star review of 10 May 2026 says jackpots of nearly $10,000 were won and that a $3,500 cash-out attempt ended with the casino taking that amount and the rest; the review text is cut off and the casino's side is not shown.

Who BitStarz suits, and who should not register

It suits a crypto or e-wallet player outside the 66 listed countries who accepts a 1x wager on every deposit and can supply an ID, proof of payment and an address proof under 90 days old. It is a poor fit for a bank-transfer user who needs funds in under 5 days, for a player who may leave the account untouched for 6 months with a small balance, for someone who plays low-risk roulette coverage and for a reader in Brazil, Poland, Portugal or Spain, who are all on the restricted list.
