Trustpilot1.4/5weight 10%

The casino's own terms, CasinoGuru, AskGamblers and Trustpilot, checked in October 2026. If the casino's site says something else, the casino's site is right.
Botemania is a Spain-only casino run by Gamesys Spain S.A.U., part of the Bally's group, with a DGOJ slots licence numbered 349/MAZ/1030. Its terms, last updated 10 June 2026, cap deposits at €150 until an ID copy is sent, set default deposit limits of €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month, and charge €20 a month on accounts that sit idle for 24 months. They also state that Gamesys sets no withdrawal ceiling per period. CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.8 with 2 complaints, both rejected, while Trustpilot gives 1.5 stars from 179 reviews, 86% of them 1-star. This review reads the rulebook clause by clause and sets it against that gap.
Gamesys Spain S.A.U. and eight DGOJ licences
Clause 1.1 of the terms names Gamesys Spain S.A.U., tax number A01739143, with its registered address at Paseo de la Marina Espanola 24 in Ceuta, as the operator of botemania.es. The same clause says it belongs to the Bally's group. Clause 3.1 lists its licences from the Direccion General de Ordenacion del Juego: general licence 175/GO/1030 for other games, singular licences 177/BNG/1030 for bingo, 176/RLT/1030 for roulette, 178/BLJ/1030 for blackjack and 349/MAZ/1030 for slots, plus betting licences 403/GA/1104, 602/ADC/1030 and 603/AOC/1030. That makes eight licence numbers, and CasinoGuru confirms the slots licence as verified.
Only people with a Spanish ID can play. Clause 4.1.2 asks for a valid DNI, or residence in Spain with an NIE, and clause 4.2 adds that only Spanish nationals or residents may take part. The terms contain no list of restricted countries because the market is one country. Clause 5.4 says that anyone shown to be playing illegally, for example through a VPN made to look like a Spanish location, has all stakes and winnings declared void. Sources disagree on the launch year: CasinoGuru says 2008, our earlier data says 2001.
€150 before ID, then 24 hours: how money moves
A new account is checked against the DGOJ player verification service and the self-exclusion register (RGIAJ). If that passes, clause 4.2 lets the player deposit up to €150 in total. To go above €150, and for any withdrawal at all, an ID copy must be sent. A player who deposits €150 on day one and then wins therefore cannot cash out until the document is accepted, and the balance stays locked in the account in the meantime.
Once the account is cleared, clause 5.10 says withdrawal requests are authorised within 24 hours of receipt if all information is supplied. Neither deposits nor withdrawals carry a fee (5.2 and 5.8). Clause 5.8 states that Gamesys puts no cap on how much can be withdrawn in a period, although a per-transaction limit may be set depending on the payment provider. Review-site data we hold puts that at €5,000 per transaction, and lists e-wallet payouts at 0 to 24 hours and bank or card payouts at 1 to 8 days. The terms themselves give no per-transaction figure, so treat the €5,000 as second-hand. On those figures a €12,000 win would need three requests, and a bank payout could take up to 9 calendar days from the request (24 hours plus 8 days).
Two payment rules matter. Money must come from the player's own payment methods in the registered name (5.1). Withdrawals go to a single active payment method (5.13), and a request to an expired method cannot be made (5.9). Player balances are held in a separate Spanish bank account (5.12).
Eight methods and the 30-day identity deadline
The review-site data lists deposits by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Paysafecard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer, and withdrawals by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and bank transfer. CasinoGuru counts 8 payment methods. The currency is the euro only. Minimum and maximum deposits per method sit in the casino's FAQ, which clause 5.3 points to; the terms do not repeat them.
Clause 4.2 sets a hard deadline: if the player has not verified identity within 30 days of opening the account, the registration is annulled and cannot be reopened. A new account has to be made. Documents the casino may ask for include a passport, ID card or driving licence for age, a utility bill or bank or card statement for address, and a selfie. Clause 4.6.1 lets Gamesys also ask for the origin of funds and the player's profession at any point, and to freeze the account until the papers arrive. Clause 4.3 adds that no withdrawal is processed until the email address is confirmed by link. All personal records are kept at least 10 years after the account is closed.
€600 a day: deposit limits that need a test to raise
Clause 9.4 and the responsible gaming page fix the defaults at €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month. A player depositing the daily maximum reaches the monthly ceiling in 5 days. Lowering a limit takes effect at once. Raising or removing one requires passing the DGOJ responsible gaming test and showing no risky behaviour in the previous 3 months, and the new limit starts within 3 days. After any change, no new increase can be requested for 3 months. The responsible gaming page adds that a player who fails the casino's own evaluation can ask again after 7 days.
Two further categories carry consequences. A player whose net weekly losses reach €600, or €200 for players aged 25 or under, for 3 weeks in a row is flagged as an intensive player (9.6) and loses the right to deposit by credit card until 6 weeks pass without hitting the threshold. A player flagged as risky (9.7) must confirm receipt of a message within 72 hours or the account is suspended, and may use only own-name payment methods. Three such weeks add up to three times €600 in net losses.
€20 a month after 24 months without a transaction
Clause 7.4 says that after 24 months with no transaction Gamesys may suspend the account and apply a maintenance fee of €20 a month. Contacting customer service reactivates the account and ends the fee. Four years after suspension the account may be cancelled with a week's notice by email. At €20 a month, a forgotten balance of €100 would last 5 months and a balance of €240 would last a year.
The operator can also close an account on a week's notice at any time (7.3). A player who closes an account gets the closure within 48 hours of the request (7.2). Clause 7.1 lists the grounds for immediate closure: fraud, using third-party payment methods, unverified identity, bonus abuse and responsible gaming reasons. An account linked to a closed account at another Bally's site can be closed or limited too. Under clause 5.7, payouts may be held while verification is incomplete or if a malfunction is suspected, with the disputed amount released once the checks are done.
The €25 and 200 spin welcome offer, in numbers
The bonus article has the full terms; here is the outline. The first deposit must be at least €10 and must be wagered in full within 30 days. Roulette and sports bets do not count. The reward depends on the deposit: €10 to €19.99 gets 20 free spins, €20 to €39.99 gets €5 and 40 spins, €60 to €79.99 gets €15 and 120 spins, and €100 or more gets the maximum of €25 and 200 spins. The spins are worth €0.01 each on King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas 4, so 200 spins carry a stake value of €2.00. Bonus and spins expire 30 days after they are awarded, and only one bonus is allowed per user. The home page describes winnings as withdrawable.
The sports welcome offer is an alternative, not an addition: bet €10 and receive €50 as 5 free bets of €10 with minimum odds of 1.50. A player who takes the casino offer cannot take the sports one.
Games and the self-exclusion tools
Botemania offers slots, live casino, bingo, Slingo and sports. Studios named on the home page include Games Global, Blueprint, Pragmatic Play, IGT, Roxor Gaming, Eyecon and Atomic Slot Lab. CasinoGuru counts 47 game providers. The terms do not state support opening hours.
For control tools, clause 9.3 allows a break from 24 hours to 4 weeks, which cannot be cancelled once set. Self-exclusion lasts a minimum of 3 or 6 months, is processed within 48 working hours, and may be extended to other Bally's sites (9.5). The free helpline is 931 227 075 (9.2). Players aged 25 or under are held to a lower net-loss threshold of €200 a week, which is a third of the €600 for everyone else.
A 9.8 Safety Index against 86% one-star reviews
CasinoGuru rates the casino 9.8, tier Very high, marks the terms as fair with 0 issues and records no blacklist entry. It lists 2 complaints, none open, none resolved, both rejected. AskGamblers has no review. Trustpilot is far harsher: 1.5 stars from 179 reviews, 27 of them in the last 12 months, with 5-star at 8% and 1-star at 86%, and the page says the company has not replied to negative reviews.
The cases on Trustpilot are small. On 16 January 2025 a reviewer deposited €100, reached a balance of €216.60 after roulette wins and a €50 bonus, and said the winnings were removed because roulette was not allowed with the bonus; that matches the rule that roulette bets do not count. On 9 March 2025 another reviewer deposited €150 and found the account closed. A 4-star reviewer in July 2026 won on bingo, withdrew €50 and had one failed withdrawal fixed through live chat, arriving the next day.
Who should use it and who should skip it
Botemania suits a Spanish resident who wants a licensed operator with a 24-hour withdrawal promise, no payout ceiling per period and no fees, and who will send the ID copy at once. The €150 deposit cap and the 30-day deadline make early verification the first task. It suits a player who plans to stay under the €600 daily default.
It suits less a player who wants live roulette with a bonus, since roulette does not count towards the €10 welcome deposit, or someone who may leave a balance untouched for two years, because of the €20 a month fee. With 86% of Trustpilot reviews at 1 star and no company replies, anyone who values dispute handling should weigh that against the 9.8 Safety Index and the 2 rejected complaints.
