The casino's own terms, CasinoGuru, AskGamblers and Trustpilot, checked in October 2026. If the casino's site says something else, the casino's site is right.
7Melons (7melons.ch) is the Swiss online casino of Grand Casino Bern, launched on 15 September 2020 and licensed by the Swiss Federal Gaming Board under concession 516-005/03-01. The German terms, dated 07.01.2025, make it a strictly Swiss product: residents of Switzerland only, CHF as the only currency, a daily net loss limit set before registration is complete, and a provisional account that cannot receive winnings until ID is checked within 30 days. CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.3 with 1 complaint, Trustpilot 4.4 from 470 reviews. Slot bonuses carry 30x wagering, table and live games 300x.
Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG and concession 516-005/03-01
The terms name Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG, Kornhausstrasse 3, 3000 Bern 22, as the operator, supervised by the Eidgenoessische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK). It holds the land-based concession 516-005/03 and the online extension 516-005/03-01, while the footer shows extension 2023-A-04-E, which CasinoGuru lists as the verified licence, and company ID CHE-101.071.322.
The home page dates the launch to 15 September 2020, and the terms add an ISO 27001 certification. Swiss law applies with Bern as place of jurisdiction (section XVIII), and the German text binds if the 4 language versions (DE, EN, FR, IT) differ (section XVI). The authority, the company and the court are all in Switzerland.
Only residents of Switzerland can open an account
Opening an account requires being of age, living or habitually staying in Switzerland, having no self-exclusion entry (Art. 80 BGS) and being under no playing ban (Art. 52 BGS). A player who registers anyway gets no refund of losses and no payout of winnings, the terms say, citing Art. 52 section 4 of the Geldspielverordnung, and a second account can lead to all accounts being blocked and bonuses cancelled.
The site serves 1 country, so the profile data lists 0 restricted countries, and CHF is the only currency in both directions.
A provisional account: 1,000 CHF in, no winnings out, 30 days to send ID
After registration the casino opens a provisional account. Under section III the player has 30 days to send a copy of an official ID and, if the address could not be confirmed through the credit bureau CRIF AG, a proof of address such as a utility, TV or internet bill or a bank statement. Until the account is final, cumulative transfers may not exceed 1,000 CHF and winnings are not paid out. If the documents do not arrive within 30 days the account is set to inactive.
Name and address go to CRIF AG at registration and the player is checked against the national exclusion register. More documents can be requested at any deposit or withdrawal (sections IV and V), and section IX lets the casino block the account and hold the balance until the legally required information is in.
Payments: seven deposit methods and bank transfer out
The home page lists credit card, PostFinance Card, PostFinance E-Finance, bank transfer, Twint, Apple Pay and Paysafecard for deposits, 7 methods in all; the profile data adds Skrill, for 8. Credit cards must be linked to a bank account (section IV), and withdrawals go only to a payment account in the player's own name (section V), and the profile data lists bank transfer as the only withdrawal method, with a time of 1 to 3 days.
The terms and pages read state 0 figures for minimum or maximum deposit, minimum withdrawal, daily, weekly or monthly withdrawal limits or fees, saying only that balances earn no interest and that no credit is given.
The daily net loss limit and the Swiss self-exclusion register
Before registration is completed the player must set a maximum daily net loss in CHF. Lowering it takes effect at once, raising it only after 24 hours (section II), so it is built into registration rather than being an optional tool.
Section VIII obliges the casino to lock a player suspected of over-indebtedness or of staking out of proportion to income, and it can check creditworthiness or request a debt-collection extract via CRIF AG. A lock covers all of Switzerland and is entered in a national register, and since 7 January 2025 it is also valid in Liechtenstein casinos and the reverse. An account can be closed at any time by email (section VII).
30x on slots, 300x on table and live games
Section X sets the wagering for bonus money at 30x on slots, 300x on RNG table games and 300x on live games. The terms' own example: a bonus of 5 CHF needs 150 CHF of slot stakes. The same bonus played on live roulette would need 1,500 CHF in stakes. A bonus unused for 6 months can be withheld or deleted, and real money can be withdrawn only after cancelling bonuses with open wagering, with 300x as the reason live-table play is a poor way to clear one.
The home page (September 2026) shows two welcome offers: 100% up to 100 CHF plus 250 free spins on Lucky Lady's Charm deluxe, or 100% up to 300 CHF plus 50 Super Spins on Book of Ra deluxe. The profile data shows a headline of 100% up to 1,007 CHF, which does not match the page, so the bonus page is the place for current terms.
Inactive after 6 months, balance returned after 24 months
An account counts as inactive after 6 consecutive months without use, with 0 fees stated. After 24 months the casino sends the remaining balance, bonus money excluded, to a payment account saved in the profile; if that fails and the player cannot be reached, a further 24 months later the money goes to the AHV compensation fund and all claims lapse (section VI, Art. 51 Geldspielverordnung).
Wins above 1,000,000 CHF are subject to withholding tax deducted by the casino and paid to the federal tax administration, and below that the player declares winnings personally (section XI).
Games, support and the 9.3 at CasinoGuru
The home page names slots and Megaways, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and live casino, with Red Tiger, Greentube by Novomatic and Evolution as named providers. CasinoGuru counts 38 providers and 8 payment methods and shows no 24-hour live chat, while a 2025 help page describes support by chat, email and phone every day.
CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.3, Very high, rates the terms fair with 0 issues, does not blacklist the casino and puts it in the revenue tier above €5,000,000. It records 1 complaint, rejected, and the material read does not describe it, so no payout case can be quoted. AskGamblers has no review of 7Melons, and Trustpilot shows 4.4 from 470 reviews.
Who 7Melons suits and who cannot use it
It suits a Swiss resident who wants a licensed local operator, accepts a loss limit set at registration, can send ID within 30 days and prefers Twint, PostFinance or Apple Pay. It does not suit anyone living outside Switzerland, who cannot open an account at all, a player who wants crypto, or a bonus player who plans to clear a bonus on live tables at 300x.
