How Gala Spins got 3.0/5

The rating is calculated the same way for every casino, from three independent sources:

  • AskGamblers CasinoRank6.2/10weight 30%
  • Trustpilot1.5/5weight 10%

Combined: 5.4/10, shown as 3.0/5 on a fixed scale that is the same for every casino.

One source has no data for Gala Spins, so the remaining weights are scaled up.

How we rate casinos: the full method

Gala Spins is the slots-led sister of Gala Casino, run by the same LC International Limited under UK Gambling Commission account 54743, and for the rules that cost money it is a copy of its sibling: a 2,000 pounds deposit ceiling, three payment methods in 30 days, a £250,000 payout cap on slots and a £3 monthly fee after 13 inactive months. What differs is the evidence around it. AskGamblers gives Gala Spins a CasinoRank of 6.2, dates it to 2016 and publishes payout times of up to 72 hours for e-wallets and 2 to 6 days for banks, while Trustpilot scores it 1.5 from 516 reviews. Like Gala Casino it accepts players located in the United Kingdom only.

The same LC International terms, updated 21 January 2025

The General Terms for Gala Spins are word for word the Gala Casino terms. Clause 1.1 applies them to "Gala Spins", clause 2.1 names LC International Limited of Gibraltar (company 46808), and clause 2.4 gives the Gambling Commission of Great Britain account 54743. Both documents carry the update date 21 January 2025, and every figure in this review that is not marked as coming from AskGamblers or Trustpilot is taken from that text. Clause 2.5 adds the Gibraltar licences RGL 010 and RGL 012 for customers outside Great Britain, but those do not open the site to anyone else.

Clause 2.2 lists the brands the company runs in the UK: bwin, Coral, Foxy Bingo, Foxy Games, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Gamebookers, Ladbrokes, PartyCasino, PartyPoker and Sportingbet. A player who holds an account at one of them is therefore dealing with the same legal entity, the same verification team and the same set of rules. Clause 7.10 even lets the company share identity documents with its other UK brands where you hold accounts, so a document sent to Gala Spins can reach the Gala Casino file.

Britain only: clause 5.3.12 and the VPN rule

To register you must promise that you are located in the United Kingdom (clause 5.3.12). Being in any territory outside the UK, including through a VPN that hides where you are, is a Prohibited Activity under the Prohibited Activities clause, which lets the company suspend the account, withhold the balance and void winnings (clauses 15.2 to 15.4). The market is one country. The terms contain no list of banned countries because everything outside the UK is already excluded.

Funds are held in a formal trust account run by an independent trustee, which clauses 9.16 and 9.17 describe as the Gambling Commission's "high protection" level for customer money. The same wording appears in the Gala Casino terms.

Payments: 2,000 pounds per deposit and the AskGamblers payout times

The deposit page is identical to the one on Gala Casino. The maximum for a UK customer is 2,000 pounds in a single deposit on any method, credit cards are refused, and an e-wallet funded by a credit card is refused too. A customer may use no more than three payment methods in any rolling 30 days. Deposits cost nothing from the casino (clause 9.3). Withdrawals to debit cards and by bank transfer to bank accounts are free (clause 9.9), pay out to the original deposit method where possible (clause 9.12) and only to the account holder (clause 9.13).

This is where Gala Spins differs from its sibling in what is published about it. AskGamblers lists e-wallet withdrawals at 0 to 72 hours, cards at 1 to 5 days and bank transfers at 2 to 6 days. The casino's own help page gives none of these times. A player who withdraws £1,500 to a card on a Monday could therefore expect it from Tuesday to Saturday, and a bank transfer from Wednesday to the following Sunday. Comparison sites list the deposit methods as Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Paysafecard and bank transfer, and the cashier shows the minimum for each.

Verification comes first and source-of-funds requests come later

Clause 7.3 stops you depositing or playing until name, address and date of birth are verified. Withdrawals then depend on the know-your-customer checks being complete (clause 9.7.2 and the UK help page). Proof of address must be no more than 3 months old (clause 7.5), and clause 7.6 lets the casino ask for bank statements, payslips, P60s or tax returns, company accounts, evidence of an inheritance or the sale of an asset. Clause 7.7 allows the account to be restricted until this is done.

A 2,000 pounds deposit followed by a £10,000 win on a slot is the point where a request for a payslip and bank statements becomes likely. A player on Gala Spins who has already passed identity checks at Gala Casino or Ladbrokes may find the first stage quicker, since clause 7.10 lets the group share the files.

The £250,000 slot cap and the £3 fee after 13 months

Clause 11 caps payouts at £250,000 on slots, with exceptions where higher amounts are specified for progressive jackpots, £250,000 on bingo, casino, games, live casino and virtuals and £100,000 on poker. For a slots-led brand the slot figure matters most: a stake that produces £300,000 is paid as £250,000 where the cap applies.

Clause 14 treats an account with no cash bet for 13 consecutive months as inactive. The casino tries to return the balance and, failing that, gives at least 30 days notice and starts charging £3 a month. On a £60 balance that is 20 months before the money runs out, and the fee adds up to £36 in a year. Clause 8.1.3 voids bonuses and winnings obtained through a duplicate account, clause 5.3.10 bans payment methods not in your name and clause 9.15 leaves tax on winnings to the player. Clause 9.10 lets the casino deduct bank charges if you deposit and withdraw repeatedly without real play.

For bonus play, the promotional terms limit a stake to £2 per hand or spin while casino bonus funds are active, and they flag as irregular a bet of 50% or more of the bonus on one round. Comparison sites list the welcome offer as a £10 spend on slots that earns 100 spins, but the offer-specific terms control and the bonus page has the detail. A bankroll of £8,000 would need four deposits of 2,000 pounds, since that is the per-deposit ceiling.

Gala Points, free spin reels and the safer gambling tools

Gala Spins shares the Gala Rewards Club with the other Gala sites. The Daily Free Spin Reel awards up to 5,000 points once a day, slots tournaments pay points by leaderboard position and a slots arcade lets a player stake 10 to 200 points per spin. Any account opened during a self-exclusion is closed. Points have no cash value and the month's points expire on the 7th of the following month.

AskGamblers records deposit limits, wager limits, time limits, self-exclusion and a cool-off option, and none of loss limits, reality checks or a self-assessment test. The terms themselves set self-exclusion at six months at minimum (clause 12.3), with funds returned within ten working days, and register the casino with GAMSTOP (clause 12.10).

6.2 from AskGamblers, 1.5 from Trustpilot

AskGamblers lists Gala Spins as established in 2016 with a CasinoRank of 6.2 and a player rating of 2 that rests on just 2 ratings. Trustpilot shows 1.5 stars from 516 reviews. CasinoGuru has no Safety Index for the brand. The Trustpilot number is about the same as the 1.4 from 348 reviews that Gala Casino carries, close enough that the two brands look alike to reviewers.

These are second-hand figures, and a score this low, with 516 reviews behind it, is the one thing in the file that argues for caution before depositing.

Who Gala Spins is for

It suits a UK slots player who wants a Gambling Commission account, protected funds and a rewards club, and is comfortable with the 2,000 pounds per-deposit ceiling and no fee on debit card withdrawals. It also suits a player who already holds a Gala or Ladbrokes account and wants the same rules across brands.

It does not suit anyone who needs a published payout time from the casino itself, who wants to play from outside the UK, who spreads deposits over more than 3 payment methods a month or who wants a large payout cap on one product above £250,000.
