How we rate casinos: the full method

Casino Barcelona is a Spain-only casino run by Casino Barcelona Interactivo, S.A.U., part of Grupo Peralada, with seven DGOJ licences covering slots, roulette, blackjack, poker and sports betting. Its payments policy sets deposits from €5, card and e-wallet payouts up to €10,000 and bank transfers up to €20,000, but a new account is capped at €150 of deposits and cannot withdraw until documents are checked, and an inactive account can lose €5 or 5% of its balance a month. CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.8 and records 7 complaints, 5 of them rejected, while Trustpilot shows 4.6 stars from 1,440 reviews.

Casino Barcelona Interactivo, S.A.U. and seven DGOJ licences

The contract names Casino Barcelona Interactivo, S.A.U. as the operator, a company of Grupo Peralada with its registered office in Ceuta (tax id A-65661886, Registry of Ceuta Tomo 128, Folio 78, Hoja CE-3315). The licence page lists one general DGOJ licence, for other games and bets, and six singular licences: poker, roulette, blackjack, slots, sports counterparty bets and other counterparty bets. The page does not print licence numbers. CasinoGuru dates the brand to 2012 and puts its revenue tier above €20,000,000.

The service is for Spain. Residents register with a DNI or NIE, and non-residents may register with a passport or an identity document from their country of residence, but must send it within 1 month of provisional activation or the registration is cancelled, deposits are refunded and winnings generated meanwhile are not paid. Clause III.1 also lets the casino refuse a registration started from a non-Spanish IP address. The terms list no restricted countries and print no version number.

€5 deposits, €10,000 payouts and a €20,000 bank-transfer ceiling

The deposit table shows a €5 minimum for Bizum and Visa (Mastercard and Maestro are also accepted), €10 for PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and bank transfer, and €10 for Paysafecard with a €250 maximum on standard Paysafecard accounts. Apart from Paysafecard, every row is capped at €10,000 per deposit, and Bizum, cards and the e-wallets are instant. A bank transfer takes at least 72 hours. The casino charges no fee, and it does not accept payment methods held in a company's name. The legal deposit caps apply from the start: €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month, so a €5,000 deposit cannot be made within one calendar month, because the monthly cap is €3,000.

Withdrawals run from €20. Cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay pay out up to €10,000 in less than 48 hours; PayPal, Skrill and Neteller pay up to €10,000 in less than 24 hours; a bank transfer pays up to €20,000 in 48 to 72 hours. A €25,000 win would therefore need 2 bank-transfer requests (€20,000 and €5,000) or 3 requests by PayPal. Payouts follow the deposit mix: if a player deposits €400 by PayPal and €100 by debit card and asks for a €1,000 balance, the policy pays €800 to PayPal and €200 to the card. Requests above €300,000 trigger extra source-of-funds checks, and the casino reserves the right to pay such prizes only by bank transfer.

  • Deposit minimums: €5 (Bizum, Visa), €10 (PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, bank transfer, Paysafecard)
  • Withdrawal minimum: €20 for every method
  • Withdrawal maximums: €10,000 (cards, wallets), €20,000 (bank transfer)
  • Payout times: under 24 hours (e-wallets), under 48 hours (cards), 48 to 72 hours (bank)

€150 of deposits and no withdrawals until documents clear

A Spanish resident whose identity passes the real-time check still gets a joint deposit limit of €150 until the documents are validated, and cannot withdraw any prize, whatever its size (clause III.1). If the document check is never completed, the casino may close the registration and refund the deposits, with no obligation to pay winnings. Once documents are in, the casino has 24 business hours to order a transfer (III.2). If a document is missing or wrong, the player has 2 business days to supply it, after which the order is denied.

The first withdrawal also needs proof of the payment method. A card or an Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet needs a colour copy showing the holder's name, the first 6 and last 4 digits. PayPal and Skrill need a screenshot with name and email, Neteller adds the account ID, and Paysafecard or Bizum deposits need a bank document or online-banking screenshot with the full IBAN. The casino may also ask for salary slips, a work-life report or a tax return (IV.2), use verification calls, selfies or facial recognition (III.2), and hold a suspended account for an investigation of under 30 days, extendable by 30 more days when the case is highly complex (VII).

A €5 or 5% monthly fee and the clauses that void winnings

Clause X suspends an account after more than 2 uninterrupted years without a deposit or a bet and cancels it for good if it is not reactivated within 4 years of the suspension. The casino may also charge a monthly fee on inactive accounts: after a notification and one more calendar month of inactivity, it deducts €5 or 5% of the balance, whichever is higher, at every month end until the balance is zero. On a €200 balance that is €10 a month, on €100 it is €5, and a €50 balance would be gone in 10 months. The clause is not consistent about timing: its first sentence says 365 days, its procedure says 2 years.

Clause VII lets the casino cancel the account and keep winnings for fraud or collusion, recurring bets at off-market odds, breaches of the bonus policy, automated or AI betting, arbitrage and exploiting system errors such as late betting. The casino may also close an account with 14 days' notice, and a player's own cancellation takes effect within 7 natural days. Hedging every outcome to clear a bonus is banned (IV.2). A player classed as at risk must confirm a casino message within 72 hours or the account may be suspended (V).

200% up to €200 with 40x wagering and a €1,000 cap

The welcome bonus is 200% of the first deposit up to €200, so a €100 deposit gives €200 of bonus, with 40x wagering on the bonus (€8,000 of bets, or about €1,143 a day over the 7 days allowed), 7 days to clear it and a maximum conversion of €1,000. Slots count 100%, roulette 15% and blackjack, other tables, crash and instant-win games 5%, so €1,000 bet on roulette clears €150. A further 20 daily spins run for 30 days, up to 600 spins, but each day needs a deposit of at least €20, each batch converts to at most €10 and carries 50x wagering. Sports betting has its own bonus with 9x wagering, where only bets at odds of 1.80 or higher count, and at least one selection at 1.60 or higher in a combined bet. The bonus article has the full terms.

More than 4,500 slots from 31 providers

The casino's own bonus page claims more than 4,500 slots, and CasinoGuru counts 31 game providers. The menu lists Playtech, Pragmatic and Hacksaw slots, Aviator, live roulette in Quantum, Mega Fire Blaze and Lightning versions, blackjack, video poker, poker tournaments and sports betting, and the casino has an RTP page for slots. A long list of slots is excluded from the bonus, and video poker contributes 0%.

7 complaints, 5 rejected, and 4.6 stars from 1,440 reviews

CasinoGuru gives a Safety Index of 9.8, rated Very high, rates the terms Fair with no issues found, and does not list the casino as blacklisted. It records 7 complaints: none open, none unresolved, 2 resolved and 5 rejected. The sources contain no complaint with an amount or date, so the 5 rejections cannot be traced to a case. Trustpilot shows 4.6 stars from 1,440 reviews, and AskGamblers has no review.

In the casino's own procedure, a complaint must be filed within 3 months and the casino must decide within 1 month (XIII). If the player is not satisfied, the DGOJ rules within 2 months, and the casino is also a member of the CONFIANZA ONLINE dispute scheme. Phone support (900 354 354) runs from 08:00 to 24:00 every day and chat from 10:00 to 22:00, so there is no 24-hour live chat.

Who Casino Barcelona suits, and who should look elsewhere

Casino Barcelona suits Spanish residents who deposit by Bizum or card from €5, want e-wallet payouts within 24 hours and may win more than €10,000 in one go, because the bank transfer ceiling is €20,000. Its 4.6 stars from 1,440 Trustpilot reviews and 9.8 Safety Index are strong outside scores.

It is a poor fit for a player who wants to deposit more than €150 before sending documents, who wants a 24-hour chat, or who may leave an account idle for 2 years, since the €5 or 5% fee then starts. Players who plan to clear the bonus on blackjack should note the 5% contribution: €8,000 of wagering would need €160,000 of blackjack bets. Anyone outside Spain, or connecting from a non-Spanish IP address, can be refused at registration.
