The casino's own terms, CasinoGuru, AskGamblers and Trustpilot, checked in October 2026. If the casino's site says something else, the casino's site is right.
Gala Casino is the casino brand of LC International Limited, a Gibraltar company that holds UK Gambling Commission account 54743, and it accepts players located in the United Kingdom only. The General Terms, updated 21 January 2025, cap a single deposit at 2,000 pounds, allow no more than three active payment methods in 30 days, limit a win to £250,000 on slots and casino games, and start a £3 monthly fee on an unclaimed balance once an account has gone 13 months without a cash bet. Withdrawals carry no fee to debit cards or bank accounts, yet the casino publishes no processing time. Trustpilot rates the brand 1.4 from 348 reviews. This review sets the rulebook against that record.
LC International Limited and UKGC account 54743
Clause 2.1 of the General Terms names LC International Limited, a company registered in Gibraltar under number 46808, with its office at Suite 6, Atlantic Suites. Clause 2.3 places it in the Entain Group. Clause 2.4 states that gambling with the company is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain under account number 54743. For customers outside Great Britain, clause 2.5 lists Gibraltar licences RGL 010 for fixed odds betting and RGL 012 for casino, but the Gala Casino terms are written for UK customers and clause 5.3.12 makes it a condition of registering that you are located in the United Kingdom.
That condition is enforced as a rule, not just an eligibility box. The Prohibited Activities clause lists, among the Prohibited Activities, being located in any territory outside the United Kingdom, including by using a VPN to disguise your location. A player who breaks it risks a suspended account, voided bets and withheld winnings under clauses 15.2 to 15.4. So the market is one country: nobody outside Britain is a customer, and a British player who travels and logs in from abroad is in breach of the terms as written.
The same company runs twelve brands in the UK according to clause 2.2: bwin, Coral, Foxy Bingo, Foxy Games, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Gamebookers, Ladbrokes, PartyCasino, PartyPoker and Sportingbet. Gala Spins publishes the same General Terms with only its own name in clause 1.1, and Ladbrokes and Coral are run by the same company. Customer funds sit in a formal trust account run by an independent trustee, which clauses 9.16 and 9.17 describe as meeting the Gambling Commission's highest, "high protection", level for segregation.
A 2,000 pounds deposit ceiling and three payment methods in 30 days
The help centre's deposit page says maximum deposits are capped at 2,000 pounds for UK customers, meaning no single deposit above 2,000 pounds, and the cap applies to every payment method. The minimum is not printed on the help page; it is shown in the cashier and depends on the method (clause 9.1). The casino charges nothing for deposits, although a third party processor may add its own fee (clause 9.3). Because of the cap, an £8,000 bankroll takes four separate 2,000 pounds deposits.
Credit cards are not accepted, and neither is an e-wallet that is funded from a credit card (clause 9.5). Debit and prepaid cards issued by money service businesses such as Transferwise, N26 or the Post Office Travel Card have been refused since 15 July 2020. A second rule bites people who switch methods: a UK account may use no more than three payment methods across a rolling 30 days, counting debit cards and e-wallets such as PayPal but not in-shop deposits, prepaid cards or expired cards.
The payment method must be in your own name. Clause 5.3.10 (no payment method that is not registered in your name) and the help page both warn that a third party method can lead to a frozen account.
Withdrawals: no fee, but no stated processing time
Clause 9.9 says there is no charge for withdrawals to debit cards or by bank transfer to bank accounts. Bank transfers to international accounts attract bank charges that the player pays (clause 9.11). Withdrawals follow a closed loop (clause 9.12): wherever possible the money goes back by the method used to deposit, and a withdrawal may be split across deposit methods. Payments are only made to the registered account holder (clause 9.13), balances cannot be swapped for prizes (clause 9.8) and tax on winnings is the player's own affair (clause 9.15). A winning is added to the balance once the bet is settled and stays there until the player requests it, because the casino does not push payouts out by itself (clause 9.14).
What the casino does not publish is a time. The withdrawal help page tells the player to choose Withdraw, pick an option and wait for a confirmation e-mail with a number; it names no hours or days and no per-transaction, daily or monthly limit. The only time figures available for the group come from the sister site Gala Spins on AskGamblers: 0 to 72 hours for e-wallets, 1 to 5 days for cards and 2 to 6 days for bank transfers. If those figures carry over, a bank transfer can take up to 6 days after approval, so a Friday request may land the following Thursday.
Clause 9.7 sets the conditions for a payout: earlier payments must have cleared and not been charged back, the verification checks must be complete to the casino's reasonable satisfaction, and there must be no open investigation into a software error or a Prohibited Activity affecting those funds. Any delay in sending documents the casino has asked for adds to the wait.
Verification before the first deposit, and proof of funds later
Gala Casino verifies earlier than most. Under clause 7.3 you may not deposit or gamble until your name, address and date of birth have been verified, and the registered name must match your passport, driving licence or national ID. The help page for UK customers explains that, once this know-your-customer process is complete, you can withdraw winnings and the account is fully active.
The terms go further than identity. Clause 7.5 lists passport, driving licence, a UK government identity document or, for non-citizens, a national identity card, and proof of address such as a utility bill or bank statement no more than 3 months old. Clause 7.6 allows the casino to ask for bank statements, payslips, P60 or tax returns, company accounts, shareholdings, evidence of an inheritance or of a property sale to explain where deposited money comes from. Clause 7.7 allows it to restrict the account in any reasonable way until the documents are in, including blocking withdrawals, and clause 7.1 says these checks continue after the account is open.
The £250,000 cap, the £3 fee and other rules that cost money
Clause 11 sets maximum payouts whatever the stake: £250,000 on slots (progressive jackpots can exceed it where stated), £250,000 on bingo, casino, games, live casino and virtuals, and £100,000 on poker. A £1 spin that lands a £400,000 line is paid as £250,000 where the cap applies.
Inactivity is handled in clause 14. An account with no cash wager or bet for 13 consecutive months is classed as inactive, the casino e-mails a warning and tries to send the balance back to the last known payment method, and if that fails it gives at least 30 days notice and then charges £3 per month until the account is reactivated or the balance reaches £0.00. A £30 balance would be gone in 10 months, and a year of the fee is £36. The fee can be refunded on request once the account is reactivated (clause 14.3).
Clause 9.10 targets churn: repeated deposits and withdrawals without matching play entitle the casino to deduct any bank charges it has incurred and to report the account to the authorities. Clause 15.4.2 lets it withhold all or part of the balance and void winnings tied to a Prohibited Activity, and clause 15.2 freezes the funds while it investigates.
Bonuses add a stricter layer. The Standard Promotional Terms limit a stake to £2 per hand or spin while casino bonus funds are active (clause 8.2), pay real money bonuses within 7 days of entry (9.1) and treat as irregular play a bet of 50% or more of the bonus on one round or a drop in bet size of 75% or more after a large win (9.2). Wagering requirements and the current welcome offer sit in the offer-specific terms, which the bonus page covers.
Slots, bingo, live tables and the Gala Points reel
The terms name the product families rather than counting them: slots, bingo, casino games, live casino, virtuals, poker and a sportsbook. A number of games or providers is not stated in the documents, so no count is given here. What the help centre does describe is the Gala Rewards Club, where points earned across the Gala sites are exchanged for bonuses, free spins, bingo tickets and prize draw entries. The Daily Free Spin Reel pays up to 5,000 points once a day, the monthly prize draw adds 10,000 points plus a £500 voucher, points collected in a calendar month expire on the 7th of the following month, and the points carry no cash value.
For tools, the safer gambling page lists deposit limits, a maximum stake limit, a curfew, reality checks, time out and self-exclusion with GAMSTOP. Any new account opened during an exclusion is closed and its winnings are withheld, and clause 13.3 puts a 24 hour cooling-off before a closed account can be used again. Clause 12.3 sets a minimum self-exclusion of six months and clause 12.5 returns funds within ten working days.
The welcome offer in one paragraph
Comparison sites list the welcome offer as a £20 spend that earns a bonus worth twice the spend plus 50 spins, with wagering reported at between 35x and 40x. These figures come from affiliate pages and the offer-specific terms control, so check them in the promotions page before depositing. The bonus article for Gala Casino has the detail.
1.4 on Trustpilot from 348 reviews, and no other record
Trustpilot shows Gala Casino at 1.4 stars from 348 reviews, a very low average for a UK-licensed brand. No CasinoGuru Safety Index or AskGamblers review exists for Gala Casino, so there is no complaint count or blacklist status to quote. That leaves the player with the terms, the Gambling Commission register and the Trustpilot score.
For comparison, the sister brand Gala Spins is rated 1.5 on Trustpilot from 516 reviews and 6.2 by AskGamblers, whose player rating of 2 rests on only 2 ratings. Because Gala Casino and Gala Spins share the same terms of use, the low scores say something about the operator's rules and not only about one site.
Who Gala Casino suits, and who should look elsewhere
It suits a British player who wants a regulated casino with a 2,000 pounds deposit ceiling, a Gambling Commission account behind it, trust-account protection at the highest level and no withdrawal fee on debit cards.
It does not suit a player who needs a published payout time, because none is given. It does not suit someone who deposits from several cards and wallets in a month (the limit is 3), who plans to play from abroad (the Prohibited Activities clause), or who expects to win over £250,000 on one product. Anyone who might leave money untouched for more than 13 months should withdraw it first to avoid the £3 monthly charge.
