How Playfina got 4.3/5

The rating is calculated the same way for every casino, from three independent sources:

  • CasinoGuru Safety Index8.2/10weight 60%
  • AskGamblers CasinoRank8.6/10weight 30%

Combined: 8.3/10, shown as 4.3/5 on a fixed scale that is the same for every casino.

One source has no data for Playfina, so the remaining weights are scaled up.

The casino's own terms, CasinoGuru, AskGamblers and Trustpilot, checked in October 2026. If the casino's site says something else, the casino's site is right.

How we rate casinos: the full method

Playfina's terms, last updated on 16 February 2026, publish the numbers a player needs: a €20 minimum deposit and withdrawal, payouts capped at €2,000 a day, €5,000 a week and €20,000 a month, a 72-hour processing target after approval, a €20 monthly fee on accounts idle for 12 months, and a rule that every deposit is wagered 3 times before it can be withdrawn. The operator is Novatrix SRL of Costa Rica, licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission under licence 0000002. CasinoGuru rates the casino 8.2, High, and AskGamblers gives a player rating of 9.7 from 1,058 reviews, so the rulebook is firm but the track record is strong.

Novatrix SRL and licence 0000002 from the Tobique Gaming Commission

Clause 1.1 names Novatrix SRL, registered in Costa Rica under number 3-102-893958, as owner and operator, and gives the licence as E-gaming licence no. 0000002 from the Tobique Gaming Commission. CasinoGuru lists the same authority, places it in Canada and dates the casino to 2022. The English text of the terms prevails over translations (1.5), the minimum age is 18 or the local minimum if higher (2.2), and the terms can be changed at the casino's sole discretion (1.4).

Clause 17 sends every dispute to arbitration in Costa Rica and waives court action, and clause 13 bars any claim not filed within 1 year. Against that, clause 15.5 offers escalation to EGIS, an alternative dispute body that works under Tobique Gaming Commission rules. The complaints page adds a second route, the AskGamblers complaint service, where each side has 96 hours to reply before a complaint is closed.

The cashier: €2,000 a day, €20,000 a month, 18 currencies and a 3x deposit rule

Clause 11.1 sets the minimum withdrawal at €20, or $20, NOK 200, 350 ZAR or 1,700 INR, and for crypto at the equivalent of €20. Clause 11.8 caps payouts at €2,000 a day, €5,000 in a rolling 7-day week and €20,000 a month, which in Norwegian kroner is NOK 20,000, NOK 50,000 and NOK 200,000. The weekly window resets 7 days after the first cashout of a month and again on the 1st, and the monthly window resets on the 1st. Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full outside these limits.

A €10,000 win takes 2 weeks under the weekly cap, since €5,000 a week is the binding limit and the daily €2,000 would allow it in 5 days. A €30,000 win runs into the €20,000 monthly ceiling and is paid over at least 2 calendar months, or about 6 weeks on the weekly cap. Amounts above the limit of a payment method may also be split into instalments (11.1).

Clause 11.6 says the casino aims to process withdrawals within 72 hours of approval, bank transfers are processed within 3 business days (11.10), and bank payouts in US dollars are not available. Added together, a euro bank payout that takes the full 72 hours plus 3 business days is at least 6 calendar days after approval. AskGamblers lists 0 to 24 hours for e-wallets, 0 to 1 hours for crypto, 1 to 5 days for cards and 3 to 10 days for bank transfers, with a pending stage of 0 to 72 hours.

The minimum deposit is €20 or equivalent and the maximum depends on the method (10.4). Crypto deposits have no upper limit, which the casino says is why self-imposed limits need a non-crypto method (10.5). Clause 4.1 lists 18 accepted currencies, 8 fiat (EUR, USD, AUD, CAD, NOK, NZD, ZAR and INR) and 10 crypto (BTC, BCH, ETH, DOGE, LTC, USDT, XRP, BNB, ADA and TRX), converted at Coinbase Converter rates, and no crypto-to-fiat exchange is offered (4.2).

Clause 9.7 requires every deposit to be wagered 3 times before the money can be withdrawn. A €100 deposit therefore needs €300 of wagers, and several deposits without play must be wagered as a combined total. The casino may charge a processing fee or refuse the withdrawal if the 3x is not met. A deposit made from someone else's account is forbidden, and any winnings from it are confiscated (10.3). CasinoGuru counts 28 payment methods and another listing lists 29 deposit and 26 withdrawal methods, a gap that the terms do not settle because they name only cards, e-wallets, bank transfers and crypto.

Verification: two weeks to answer and up to 30 working days to review

Clause 18.2 asks for a copy of a passport or other photo ID, proof of address, full name and address and an email, with more documents on request. Clause 9.5 asks for documents in Latin or Cyrillic script and otherwise for a video verification. A phone call can be required (8.4), and if the casino cannot reach the player by phone or email within 2 weeks of a withdrawal request, the account is locked and the withdrawal cancelled. Clause 9.3 repeats the 2-week limit and adds that failure ends the account and confiscates the funds.

The KYC policy says review of the documents can take up to 30 working days after everything has been provided. That is more than 6 weeks, set against a 2-week window to respond, so the delay is on the casino's side while the penalty is on the player's. Players who use Bitcoin must submit ID before they play, and deposits and bets stay blocked until that is done (2.7). Expired documents or a name mismatch can lead to the account being closed and the balance forfeited (18.4).

The €20 dormancy fee and other rules that cost money

Clause 12.1 defines an inactive account as one with no login or gameplay for 12 consecutive months and allows a fee of €20 a month, or the whole balance if it is smaller, until the balance reaches zero. A balance of €100 lasts 5 fee months, so it is gone 17 months after the last activity. Logging in and placing a wager reactivates the account (12.2).

Clause 8.1 allows one account per person and treats the same address, IP address or device as a duplicate, with winnings confiscated and pending withdrawals cancelled. Clause 3.2 lets the casino confiscate winnings if a VPN was used to get around geographic limits, and clause 2.4 gives no right to refunds or withdrawals to players from restricted countries. Clause 7.8 gives the casino sole authority to decide a breach and to ban without notice, and clause 15.3 makes its server logs final.

Refund requests for a legitimate transaction must come within 24 hours, or within 30 calendar days if a third party used the account (14.1). Intermediary banks may charge up to €16 on a bank payout (11.11), and card deposits may be returned to the card up to the net deposit (11.9).

Bonus terms in brief: 35x, a €5 bet limit and the 50% ratio

The bonus article has the offers, so only the limits belong here. Deposit bonuses need at least €20 (bonus terms 1.6) and carry a wagering requirement of 35x (1.10). The maximum bet with an active bonus is €5 or NOK 50 (1.5), and no-deposit winnings are capped at €100 or NOK 1,000 (11.7). Clause 9.4 treats a deposits-to-bonus ratio above 50% as abuse, and Sweden is excluded from all bonuses (2.5) while Finland is excluded from the welcome package.

50 restricted countries, and Norway is not one

Clause 2.4 lists 50 entries where real-money play is prohibited, among them Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, Israel, Japan, China and Brazil, plus Ontario and New Brunswick in Canada. Norway, Finland and Denmark are not on it. Certain games have their own country lists, for example NetEnt titles are barred in 19 countries including Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK (3.3), and Play'n GO and Pragmatic games are not available in Sweden (3.4).

Limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion tools

Playfina's responsible gambling policy, version 1.01 of 4 June 2026, offers deposit, loss and wager limits for a day, a week or a month. A decrease takes effect at once, while an increase needs email confirmation and waits until the previous limit expires. A cooling-off period can be set for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months, and self-exclusion for 6 months, 9 months, 1 year or indefinitely. Fiat deposits are blocked during both, though deposit limits cannot always be applied to crypto, so some crypto transactions may still go through. AskGamblers lists limits, self-exclusion and cool-off as present and a reality check as missing, and limits are set through live chat or by email.

Track record: Safety Index 8.2, 9.7 from 1,058 reviews

CasinoGuru gives Playfina a Safety Index of 8.2, High, with 98 game providers and 24/7 live chat. AskGamblers shows a CasinoRank of 8.6 and a player rating of 9.7 from 1,058 reviews, a large sample with a high average. The Trustpilot profile has been removed for guideline violations, so there is no independent consumer rating from that source. The sources used here give no individual complaint with an amount and outcome, so the strong scores cannot be tested against documented cases.

Who Playfina suits and who should look elsewhere

It suits a player who deposits at least €20, accepts the 3x rule, expects wins below €5,000 a week, and keeps documents ready before the first withdrawal so the 2-week window is no problem. It also suits a player who wants limits, a 1-week to 6-month cooling-off and a 6-month self-exclusion built into the account.

It is a poor fit for a player expecting a €30,000 win to arrive in one transfer, since the €20,000 monthly cap splits it, and for anyone who might leave an account idle for 12 months, when the €20 fee starts. It also does not suit a player who wants disputes decided in their own country, because clause 17 sends them to arbitration in Costa Rica.
