The casino's own terms, CasinoGuru, AskGamblers and Trustpilot, checked in October 2026. If the casino's site says something else, the casino's site is right.
Betamo is run by N1 Interactive Ltd of Valletta under Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/394/2017, issued on 1 August 2018, and its own terms (version 2.8, updated 23 January 2024) set clear numbers: €4,000 a day, €10,000 a week and €40,000 a month in withdrawals, mandatory identity checks once cumulative withdrawals reach €2,000, and a €5 monthly fee after 12 months without a login. The outside record is split. AskGamblers gives a player rating of 9.1 from 131 reviews and 7 resolved complaints, while Trustpilot shows 1.6 of 5 from 98 reviews and CasinoGuru marks the terms as unfair with 7 issues. This review reads the rulebook against those records so you can see where money is at risk.
N1 Interactive Ltd, company C 81457, and the Maltese licence
The terms name N1 Interactive Ltd as owner and operator, a Maltese company with registration number C 81457 at 206 Wisely House, Old Bakery Street, Valletta VLT1451. The licence is MGA/B2C/394/2017, issued on 1 August 2018. CasinoGuru lists the same licence and dates the brand to 2019, and AskGamblers names the company and the Malta Gaming Authority without a number. The terms took effect on 5 July 2019 and were last updated on 23 January 2024, so the rulebook you accept is more than two and a half years old at the time of reading. Maltese law governs, and the English version prevails over translations.
One clause concerns Austria. Players from Austria waive any claim to get their stakes back under the Austrian Gambling Act, including the Supreme Court decision 9 Ob 20/21p of 24 June 2021, and deposits are treated as trust deposits under Maltese law. The operator also runs a sister brand, Spinia, under the same licence and with nearly the same terms.
€4,000 a day, €40,000 a month, and a €20 entry ticket
Deposits start at €20 ($10), withdrawals at €10. The caps are €4,000 per day, €10,000 per week and €40,000 per month on the standard limit, and €75,000 per month on an ultimate limit named in the terms. CasinoGuru's editorial instead states €20,000 a month, so the two sources disagree. A win above €40,000 may be paid in monthly instalments of €20,000: a €100,000 win would then take 5 months. At the daily cap alone, €10,000 needs 3 days, and the weekly cap of €10,000 is reached on day 3 anyway.
Timing is stated three ways. The terms say some options can take up to 5 working days, the home page promises withdrawals within 2 hours, and AskGamblers lists e-wallets at 0 to 1 hours, cards at 1 to 5 days, bank transfers at 1 to 7 days and a pending period of 0 to 12 hours, with no weekend cashouts. A bank payout could therefore run up to 7 days plus 12 hours, and a request filed on Friday evening waits for Monday. Card payouts go back to the card up to the amount deposited, with Visa OCT and Mastercard Payment Transfer supported, and the casino may charge transaction fees on a refund.
- Minimum deposit: €20 / $10
- Minimum withdrawal: €10
- Limits: €4,000 daily, 10,000 weekly, 40,000 monthly (CasinoGuru: 20,000 monthly)
- Currencies in the terms: EUR, USD, NZD, CAD
Why the €2,000 mark matters for verification
The casino may check identity before any payout, and the terms make verification mandatory when cumulative withdrawals reach €2,000. The checks can include ID, proof of the payment method and a utility bill, in Latin or Cyrillic script, otherwise a video verification. The casino may also ask for a selfie with ID, a selfie with ID and a special sign, a phone call or a live video call, and failing any of them means account closure and confiscation of winnings. If the casino cannot reach you by email or phone within 2 weeks, the account is locked for failing KYC.
Rules for players in Germany also appear in the text: verification within 30 days of registration or up to a deposit of €150, and a monthly deposit limit not above €1,000. The records show where this bites. AskGamblers recorded a complaint in which a tournament win of $23,530 was removed after repeated document requests, and another over €600 where a valid Greek ID was refused and a passport demanded; both were resolved. CasinoGuru records a case from Germany where an account was deactivated with a €400 withdrawal pending for a week (7 February 2024).
The rules that can void a win: 25 of 37 numbers and a 50% ratio
The anti-fraud clause lists low-risk roulette play, defined as equal bets on both red and black, or odd and even, covering 25 or more of the 37 numbers. Placing bets on both colours covers 36 of 37 numbers. The casino may then end the account and suspend payouts without telling the player why. A second list defines promotion abuse: max bets on high-variance games, a switch to low variance after a big hit, deposits made only with bonuses, and a customer bonus ratio of deposits to bonuses above 50%. Duplicate accounts, the same browser, or registration free spins from an IP address that differs from the stated country allow the casino to withhold winnings.
The VPN clause lets the casino block the account and confiscate all funds. A chargeback lets it charge the balance and claim further damages. Every deposit must be wagered 3 times before withdrawal, so a €100 deposit needs €300 of bets or the casino may charge a fee. CasinoGuru ties the €5 bonus max bet to a real case: €1,200 of winnings were cancelled in Austria on 10 September 2023 after the casino cited a bet above €5, which the player denied.
€5 a month from month 13, and 128 blocked countries
A login-free period of more than 12 months allows a €5 monthly maintenance fee starting in month 13, with a reminder email every month. At 30 months the balance is sent back to the player, but only if the player can be located; otherwise the company keeps it. The fee window of months 13 to 30 is 18 months, worth up to €90.
The terms list 128 countries and territories where real-money play is prohibited, among them the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Estonia and Norway. Deposit bonuses are closed to Ireland, Finland and Croatia, and Sweden gets no bonuses at all. Players in Germany pay a 5.3% fee on every real-money bet, taken at the moment of the bet, so a €1 stake debits €1.05. A Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 says the casino is not on the German GGL whitelist; that is an unverified claim, not a finding.
A 100-provider lobby, with three different counts
The home page speaks of 1,800+ games in one block and over 2,400 in another, with 12 leading providers and 16 banking methods. CasinoGuru counts 100 providers and 19 payment methods, including Revolut, CashtoCode and MiFinity, while AskGamblers counts 50+ providers and 18 methods. The lobby tabs show Pragmatic Play, BGaming, Evolution and Hacksaw, plus Drops & Wins with a pool of €2,000,000. CasinoGuru lists live dealer tables, crash games, virtual sports and eSports betting as available. Support is a live chat open 24 hours, and CasinoGuru names six support languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
The welcome offer in one paragraph
The package is two steps of 100% up to €150, with 100 and 50 spins, 40x wagering on the bonus and a €5 max bet. The terms above, especially the 50% ratio rule and the €5 bet cap, decide whether the offer is usable. The bonus page has the codes, the arithmetic and the spin details.
41 CasinoGuru complaints, 98 Trustpilot reviews: two readings of one casino
CasinoGuru's current record shows 41 complaints for Betamo, 13 resolved and 28 rejected, a safety index of 7.2 (Above average) and unfair terms with 7 issues. An older record of the same site showed 8.5 and 564 complaints counting related casinos, so the figures move with each record. AskGamblers rates the casino 9 out of 10 on CasinoRank with a player rating of 9.1 from 131 reviews, and counts 7 complaints, all resolved, with a 1 day average response and a 4 day average duration.
Trustpilot reads very differently: 1.6 of 5 from 98 reviews, 83% of them one star and 12% five stars, with only 4 reviews in the last 12 months. The cases are money cases: $10,000 confiscated in a joint-account dispute on 2 December 2022, an account banned on an €800 withdrawal request on 24 January 2024, a ban after an €8,000 win on 13 March 2025, and a withdrawal that moved only after a legal threat on 24 April 2026. The company answers about half of negative reviews, usually after more than a month. Two AskGamblers complaints, one for €340, say self-exclusion at sister casinos was not carried over.
Who Betamo suits, and who should keep away
It suits a player from a market it serves who deposits small amounts, plays slots, and keeps total withdrawals below €2,000 until the documents are ready. At that size the €4,000 daily cap never binds, and the 3x deposit turnover means €20 needs €60 of bets. It is a poorer fit for anyone planning a large win: the €40,000 monthly cap, the instalment clause and the record of bans after wins of €8,000 and €800 withdrawals all point the same way. Players who bet on both colours at roulette, who use a VPN, or who share a household IP with another account carry the clearest risk. Real-money play is prohibited by the terms in the 128 listed countries, including the Netherlands, Poland and Brazil.
