Our verdict

BetChan is legit, with caveats. It is licensed, but its safety score or terms leave room for problems.

How we rate casinos: the full method

BetChan is a 2017 brand run by N1 Interactive Ltd of Malta under licence MGA/B2C/394/2017, and what it publishes about money is concrete: seven withdrawal routes, a €10 minimum (€500 for bank transfer), a €4,000 per-transaction and daily ceiling, €10,000 a week, €40,000 a month, a €2,000 verification trigger and a €5 monthly fee after a year idle. It has no welcome package at present, only an 11% Wednesday cashback, and it accepts no cryptocurrency. The track record is split: AskGamblers shows 41 complaints with 36 resolved and a player rating of 8.7 from 246 reviews, CasinoGuru shows 10 direct complaints, all rejected, and Trustpilot has removed the profile page. This review reads the terms and sets them against those records.

A 2017 brand on the same N1 Interactive licence as Cookie Casino

The footer names N1 Interactive Ltd, company number C 81457, 206 Wisely House, Old Bakery Street, Valletta, and the Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/394/2017, issued on 1 August 2018. CasinoGuru and AskGamblers both give 2017 as the founding year; the terms took effect on 4 March 2019 and were last updated on 23 January 2024 (version 2.8). Maltese law applies and the English text prevails. Cookie Casino carries the same operator and licence number, and the promo-abuse list and the responsible gambling page carry the same text on both sites. Figures below are BetChan's own unless marked.

The restricted list runs to about 128 names and includes the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Poland, Norway, Brazil, Mexico and Ontario. Germany is the unclear case. AskGamblers lists it as a restriction, yet the terms contain a section 'Additional terms for German players' and Germany is not on the list. Anyone in Germany should treat availability as unconfirmed.

Seven ways out: €10 minimum, but €500 by bank transfer

The payments page lists withdrawals as free of fees on every route. Credit cards take 1 to 3 banking days (two rows), Trustly is instant, bank transfer takes 1 to 5 banking days, two e-wallet rows are instant, and Interac e-Transfer takes 1 to 3 banking days. The minimum is €10 or $10 on most routes, CAD 30 for Interac, and €500 for bank transfer. The page shows a maximum of €4,000 per transaction on every row.

The terms add a daily ceiling of €4,000, a weekly one of €10,000 and a monthly one of €40,000, with VIP exceptions at the casino's discretion. With a €4,000 transaction limit and the same daily cap, a €10,000 balance takes 3 days (€4,000, €4,000, €2,000). A win over €40,000 can be paid in monthly instalments of €20,000, so €45,000 could mean 3 months. AskGamblers adds a pending period of 1 to 5 days, e-wallets at 0 to 1 hours, cards at 1 to 5 days and banks at 1 to 7 days, which makes the slowest bank route 5 days of pending plus 7 days, about 12 days. The payments page itself aims at 12 hours per withdrawal.

Four currencies, no crypto, and Mastercard payouts in 27 countries

The homepage FAQ is blunt: players cannot bet with cryptocurrencies, and the answer adds only that this may change. The terms list four currencies, EUR, USD, NZD and CAD; the affiliate data held here also lists PLN, so that one is unconfirmed. Deposits start at €20 or $10. Cards take up to €4,000, Paysafecard €1,000, Trustly €5,000, Neosurf €10,000, and one e-wallet group €10,000, all instant and free. Third-party payments are banned: winnings are confiscated and the deposit goes back to the payer's own account.

Card payouts use Visa Original Credit Transfer and Mastercard Payment Transfer. BetChan lists 27 supported Mastercard countries, among them Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom, against 12 on Cookie Casino's list; Visa payouts exclude the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. CasinoGuru counts 18 to 19 payment methods and AskGamblers 13 deposit and 10 withdrawal methods.

The €2,000 check, a phone call and the €38,710 case

Verification becomes mandatory when cumulative withdrawals reach €2,000, and the casino may hold withdrawals while it checks identity. The terms allow documents to be demanded in Latin or Cyrillic script, otherwise by video, plus a selfie with ID, a selfie with ID and a special sign, or a call from a manager. If the player cannot be reached within two weeks the account is locked, and a player who does not pass the procedure in those two weeks is closed with the winnings confiscated.

The record shows what that clause can mean. AskGamblers lists a complaint headed 'Denied account verification without saying why, confiscated balance of €38,710' from a player in the Netherlands, marked resolved, and its cons name 'verification issues documented', withdrawal delays and a complex withdrawal form. CasinoGuru's editorial says the terms are unfair about KYC timeframes, bonus withdrawal deadlines and low-risk play. German players are told to verify within 30 days of registration and/or up to a deposit of €150.

Triple turnover on deposits, €5 a month dormancy and the bankruptcy clause

Every deposit must be wagered 3 times before the funds can be withdrawn, otherwise the casino may charge a fee on the deposit and the payout. A €200 deposit needs €600 of bets whether or not any bonus is taken. An account with no login for more than 12 months pays €5 a month from the 13th month, gets a monthly reminder email, and has its balance remitted to the player at 30 months, unless the player cannot be located, in which case the company keeps it.

The anti-fraud list names a player who has gone bankrupt in the country of residence, low-risk roulette that covers 25 or more of the 37 numbers, two accounts, and chargebacks, after which the casino can claim the available balance and further damages. VPN use can lead to a block and confiscation. For German players, the terms add a 5.3% fee on real-money bets, a monthly deposit limit of no more than €1,000 and an hourly reality check with a five-minute pause.

11% Wednesday cashback, and 2,000 games from 50+ providers, or 92, or 56

The homepage headline is a weekly cashback of 11% every Wednesday, and AskGamblers and CasinoGuru list it as the only bonus; AskGamblers records no wagering and CasinoGuru an unlimited maximum cashout. Other reviewers still describe an older deposit bonus with 40x wagering and a $5 maximum bet. The bonus page deals with the conflicts.

The homepage claims more than 2,000 games from 50+ providers and shows Pragmatic Play, BGaming, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, Wazdan, Nolimit and Playson. CasinoGuru counts 92 providers, AskGamblers 56 or more. The same page speaks of multi-million jackpots, while AskGamblers lists 'no progressive jackpots' among its cons and notes that RTP is not publicly audited and RNG not tested. Live games, crash games, keno, scratch cards and eSports betting appear in the CasinoGuru category list.

AskGamblers counts 7 of 10 responsible gambling tools, missing the self-assessment test, a withdrawal lock and a self-exclusion register; CasinoGuru shows only deposit limit and self-exclusion. The official page lists deposit, loss, wager and session limits, cooling-off, self-exclusion and an hourly reality check. Support is live chat open 24/7, in 7 languages according to AskGamblers, with no phone line.

41 complaints at AskGamblers, 10 rejected at CasinoGuru, a removed Trustpilot page

CasinoGuru gave a Safety Index of 8.3 earlier and 7.4, Above average, on 15 October 2026, with a note that the terms are Unfair (7 issues) and no blacklist entry. Its direct complaint count is 10, all rejected, against 520 when related casinos are included. The listed cases are two €2,900 cases from the Netherlands, dated 23 December 2024 and 16 October 2025, a refund demand and ignored complaints, based on the claim that BetChan operates without a Dutch licence, and €1,000 of winnings confiscated in January 2017 without explanation. The Netherlands is on the terms' own restricted list.

AskGamblers records 41 complaints, 36 resolved, with a CasinoRank of 8.7 and a player rating of 8.7 from 246 reviews. Besides the €38,710 case it shows a $495 withdrawal pending, a €135 password-reset failure from May 2020, $4,000 of winnings removed after high bets while clearing about $246 of bonus under a $735 requirement, and 15 promised free spins refused in 2019.

Trustpilot is hard to read. On 15 October the page showed 2.6 from 41 reviews, then on 24 October it said the profile goes against guidelines and is no longer visible. One 1-star review of 7 April 2026 mentions a KSA fine; the positive ones describe a $120 win paid in February 2025 and payouts between €1,000 and €10,000 over two years. Disputes can go, after 8 weeks of management review, to CasinoReviews.com or the MGA free of charge.

Who BetChan suits and who should skip it

It suits a player in a permitted country who wants fee-free withdrawals, uses an e-wallet or Trustly for instant payouts, stays below €2,000 of withdrawals until documents are ready, and plays slots rather than live tables, since the cashback is a slot-loss offer. It also suits someone with a Mastercard from one of the 27 listed countries.

It does not suit a player who wants a welcome package, one who needs cryptocurrency, a player in the Netherlands, where the two largest CasinoGuru and AskGamblers cases come from, or anyone planning to withdraw more than €10,000 in a week. A bank-transfer user needs at least €500 per request. A player in Germany should confirm availability and the 5.3% bet fee with support before depositing.
