Yes, you can pay with Bitcoin at most casinos we track: 89 of our 116 partner casinos (77%) accept Bitcoin deposits and 85 pay out in it, and 77 of the 224 review-only casinos take it too, so 166 of 340 casinos in total (49%). Receiving bitcoin costs no fee, but the sender pays a network fee that depends on the size of the transaction in bytes, not on the amount. A new block arrives about every 10 minutes on average, and bitcoin.org recommends 6 confirmations for high-value transfers. Everything else, from minimums to daily payout caps, is set by each casino. Below, those numbers applied to real deposits and payouts.
Why a $20 Bitcoin deposit pays the same network fee as a $2,000 one
The network fee is paid by the sender and is set by how many bytes the transaction takes up, so, in bitcoin.org's own example, sending 100,000 BTC can cost the same as sending 1 BTC. Receiving costs nothing, which is why the casino's deposit address does not reduce what arrives.
Whatever the fee is on the day, it is the same for a $20 deposit and a $2,000 deposit, so as a share of the money it weighs 100 times more on the $20 one. bitcoin.org publishes no current fee rate, so we cannot put a dollar figure on it here. If you pay less than the network is prioritising, the first confirmation can take considerably longer.
The Lightning Network is the exception: bitcoin.org says Lightning payments typically cost less than a cent. Of the casinos we researched, only Ozwin states a separate Lightning option, with a $5 minimum deposit against $25 for an on-chain Bitcoin deposit and $20 for a card.
About 10 minutes per block: what 1, 3 or 6 confirmations mean in time
In our data, 147 of the 163 casinos that accept Bitcoin also pay withdrawals to it. The fastest crypto and e-wallet payouts come from 22Casino (15 minutes).
A block is found about every 10 minutes on average, but bitcoin.org states there is no guaranteed minimum or maximum delay; the difficulty adjusts to keep that average. Its confirmation table rates 0 confirmations as only safe if you trust the payer, 1 as somewhat reliable, 3 as mostly reliable, 6 as the minimum recommendation for high-value transfers and 30 for emergencies that need human intervention.
In time, 3 confirmations average about 30 minutes and 6 about an hour, longer if your fee was low. How many confirmations each casino waits for before crediting a deposit is not stated by the casinos, so check the cashier before you send.
- Copy the deposit address from the casino cashier and check the first and last characters after pasting.
- Send from your wallet, using Lightning only if the cashier offers it, as at Ozwin from $5.
- Keep the transaction ID and wait for the confirmations the casino requires.
166 casinos take Bitcoin deposits, but 16 of them list no Bitcoin payout
Among partners, 89 casinos (77% of 116) list Bitcoin for deposits and 85 for withdrawals; among review-only casinos, 77 list it for deposits and 65 for withdrawals. Casinos that list only crypto are not counted.
Four partners list a Bitcoin deposit but no Bitcoin withdrawal: GGBET, HitNSpin, Akibawin and Spinando. Among review-only casinos there are 12, including 888 Casino, 10bet, Lucky Nugget, Royal Vegas and Madnix. 10bet, a South African site working in ZAR, takes Bitcoin and Ethereum deposits but pays out only by EFT. No casino we review lists Bitcoin for withdrawals only.
Casino caps decide how fast a large Bitcoin win leaves
Across the 57 casinos above where we have bonus terms, the average welcome bonus wagering is 38x.
The network has no withdrawal limit; casinos do. These figures are casino-wide limits, not Bitcoin-only rules. Stake, Roobet and BitStarz list no limits, and HitNSpin and Fairspin say No Limits. GGBET allows €9,000 per transaction. Spinch allows €5,000 per transaction, €10,000 per day and €60,000 per month; NeoSpin and Loki Casino also cap at €60,000 per month.
Vavada pays up to $1,000 a day and $10,000 a month, 20Bet €4,000 a day and €40,000 a month, 1Red €2,000 a day and €10,000 a month. Boomerang caps at €500 a day and €7,000 a month, Hugo Casino at €500 a day and €15,000 a month. A €20,000 win takes 2 days at Spinch, but at Boomerang the €7,000 monthly cap stretches it over 3 months.
Among review-only casinos, Lucky Block allows €500,000 a month, Jackbit $100,000 a month with $50,000 per 7 days, Lex Casino €4,000 a day and €125,000 a month, and King Billy 2,000 per transaction, 4,000 a day and 30,000 a month in EUR or USD. Wazamba caps withdrawals at €20,000 a month.
Payout speed is also casino-set. Of the 89 partners with Bitcoin, 52 state 0-24 hours and 18 state 0-1 hours, but that field covers e-wallets and crypto together, so it is not a proven Bitcoin time. The claim that Bitcoin payouts usually arrive within an hour is not supported by any casino we reviewed.
Ozwin and Raging Bull: the only Bitcoin minimums and fees casinos state
No casino states a Bitcoin-specific minimum, and only two casinos publish Bitcoin-specific banking terms. Ozwin asks for $25 to deposit by Bitcoin, $5 by Lightning, and $100 to withdraw, the same withdrawal minimum as its bank wire. A $60 balance there can be played but not cashed out.
Raging Bull charges $0 to $40 per Bitcoin withdrawal, pays in 7-10 days, and sets a $50 minimum and a $2,500 maximum. Its bank wire costs $0 to $20 with a $100 minimum and the same $2,500 maximum. At the $50 minimum with the top $40 fee, only $10 would arrive, so the fee is 80% of the payout. A $10,000 win needs at least 4 withdrawals of $2,500.
When paying in Bitcoin changes the bonus terms
Raging Bull is the clearest case. Its Bitcoin bonus runs from 325% to 400% across VIP tiers, against 250% to 325% for card deposits, but crypto deposits carry 40x wagering on the welcome bonus instead of 10x, so the same bonus needs 4 times as much betting. No-deposit winnings there are paid in crypto, mostly Litecoin, after an $11 Litecoin verification deposit.
Shuffle's welcome bonus is crypto only, 100% up to $1,000 from a $20 deposit, according to a second-hand source (cryptoslate). Wazamba excludes Ontario from its crypto welcome offer. BetLabel reportedly gives no bonus on crypto, per a second-hand note that names Dash and Ethereum, not Bitcoin.
Irreversible and public: the risks bitcoin.org lists
A confirmed transaction cannot be reversed by the network; only the recipient can refund it, and coins sent to an address nobody controls are gone permanently. If you lose a self-custodied wallet, no developer, miner, wallet provider or exchange can recover it.
Every transaction is public and permanent, and bitcoin.org advises using each address only once. It also calls bitcoin a high-risk asset whose price can move unpredictably over short periods, without giving figures, and says most jurisdictions tax it under local rules.
Supply is capped at 21,000,000 BTC, and 1 BTC divides into 100,000,000 satoshis, so the smallest unit is 0.00000001 BTC.
Myths vs facts
- Myth: A bigger Bitcoin deposit costs a bigger network fee.
- Fact: The fee depends on transaction size in bytes; sending 100,000 BTC can cost the same as 1 BTC.
- Myth: Every casino that takes Bitcoin deposits pays out in Bitcoin.
- Fact: 16 of the 166 casinos list no Bitcoin withdrawal, among them GGBET, HitNSpin, Akibawin, Spinando and 10bet.
- Myth: Bitcoin payouts arrive within an hour.
- Fact: Only 18 of 89 partners state 0-1 hours, 52 state 0-24 hours, and Raging Bull states 7-10 days for Bitcoin.
Before you deposit with Bitcoin
- Check the casino's Bitcoin withdrawal minimum, such as $100 at Ozwin, before depositing.
- Deposit larger amounts less often, since the network fee does not grow with the amount.
- Use Lightning only where the cashier lists it, as at Ozwin from $5.
- Compare daily and monthly caps, from €500 a day at Boomerang to no limit at Stake.
- Use a fresh deposit address each time and keep every transaction ID.
